Chapter 12: Naptime

I laid down with my bottle in my mouth, I didn't want to play anymore but Maya and Alex didn't seem to notice as they kept having their tea party. My Cinnamoroll wasn't invited, I didn't want anyone touching him so I took him off the imaginary guest list. I know it was wrong but, he's mine, only mine.

"Come on Bella, no naps on the floor, should I get Tia?" Maya asked, her party hat was just barely on now. I lifted my body up shaking my head, I could hear Rosie laughing with everyone outside, I didn't want to bother her with my blasted energy levels.

"Okay, but if you have cries, we'll tell," Alex announced, wagging his finger slowly like he was teaching me a lesson. I nodded big and leaned against the bookshelf to rest my head.

I watched the tea party go on until I pulled my knees up to my chest and put my head down. I barely remember falling asleep but I must have because the next thing I knew I was being lifted.

I opened my eyes to see it was Frank who had taken me, he said something about a snack and how I need them. I let him carry me and he sat me down in a chair. I quickly realized that I was trapped, and I looked down and back up at him. He seemed to be visibly shocked as he stared at my face.

"Ms. Sifuentes isn't going to like this," he shook his head and walked away to the refrigerator where he got an ice pack and my bottle. This ice pack was Pink and shaped like a piggy, when he handed it to me it was soft as well.

I shook my bottle of milk and looked at my bowl of berries and oatmeal. He gave me my spoon and sat in front of me to feed me, but I didn't want to eat and I didn't want to be trapped in a chair. So I shook my head and pushed the bowl away.

"Ms. Bella, please stop shaking or I'll have to buckle you in," he said, putting the bowl back where it was again. But this time I shook more, getting irritated with being stuck inside, and he kept his promise of buckling me down. It was harnessed and now I couldn't move which made me cry out to be let go.

"Frank no no, no snack please!" He sighed and stood looking a bit hesitant almost as if he would give in, that is before Rosie walked in looking worried.

Her eyes ran over Frank then me, before they lowered into slits, "now, how did you get this?" Her hand caressed the spot that was itching about an hour ago. I could only feel her and nothing else, no pain, I'm surprised it left a mark.

My heart picked up and I shook my head not feeling like explaining it, I couldn't form the words to tell her to let me out, so I held up my arms and shook my hands in frustration. In the midst of the drama, Maya came in holding Mr. Roosevelt, her teddy, party hats adorned.

"Tia, Bella wants out," she said softly, but Rosie had already had it in her mind. She undid the harness and pulled me up, but made a face at Maya which immediately made her smile drop.

Rosie hadn't even said anything, but Maya suddenly started to tell all.

"He didn't mean to Tia, we played Legos and Alex took hers and I says no stealing!" She started to cry and Rosie was rocking me back and forth while I hid away on her shoulder. "But he takes it from me and then we pulls it together but he let go and he hits her. He says sorry. He didn't meant to Tia, I pwomis!"

I couldn't hear the clacks of the heels as the man came walking into the kitchen as well, I'm sure he was answering Maya's cries.

"What's the matter, Sweetness?" He asked as he lowered himself to her eye level.

"Papi, we hurt Bella!" She sobbed and pressed her face into him.

"It was an accident from what I understand," Rosie directs her words to her brother as he stands soothing his partner with pats and rubs.
