I'd made my speech about peace and tranquillity to my people. An how I'd protect them with my life an when I said it I wasn't lying. I would protect my subjects they were all I had left. While I finished out my last words my eyes couldn't help but drift to the hooded man and his silver medallion that shined brighter than anything I'd seen. The feeling in the bottom of my gut continued to twist as my eyes caught him every couple of minutes. What was going on with me why was this dread and anticipation so deeply rooted.

A roar of applause took over at my last words. I exhaled and walked back into my room. I laid down on my bed my head a rush. I'd probably been there for 20 minutes my mind on repeat trying to glean the identity of the mystery man. I'd made sure I was familiar with a lot of people in the main capital of the kingdom.

An he was definitely not familiar at all and that medallion looked familiar the bear head shined bright on it. Why was it so familiar I pondered.

My thoughts on the subject was cut short when a knock sounded on my door.

"Enter" I called out while sitting up.

Your majesty a visitor has requested your presence in the throne room.

I sighed hopefully it was my long time friend Jill visiting from our neighboring nation. I'd bartered peace with most of the surrounding nations. An those allies were formidable therefore making me appear untouchable plus my powers were also a factor as well. I got up rushing out the room to meet my visitor the days were also long and boring. So whether or not it was Jill or a townsmen I'd welcome anything I was met with.

When I entered I saw the back of a hooded person. My heart began to race as I rounded on him, low and behold it was the man with the medallion.

I sat in my seat crossing my leg my bare foot on display. I stared at him pointedly waiting for him to introduce his self.

He bent at one knee still not showing his face but his voice sounded heavenly. Deep and raspy like his voice had seen battle and yelled orders. The thought was arousing to say the least.

"I bring a proposal of marriage from my king Gideon of the triad nation" he said sliding a piece of rolled up parchment with a silk string tied around it.

My interest was peeked even though I'd most definitely decline. I'd never heard of them I held my hand out to receive the paper and my servant took it from him to hand to me. I unrolled it and as I read it my blood began to boil. By the time I'd finished it I was absolutely seething.

"I won't stand for this insolence I have allies if it's war your king wants he'll have it." My voice thundered around the massive room. I knew my eyes were glowing because the man had finally looked up. His eyes as green as sea moss followed by a straight nose, and strong scruffy chin. He showed awe in his gaze he blinked as if snapping out of his gaze.

"He thought you might say that so he's been moving quietly. Those allies you have if you send word to rally their armies you'll see they've realigned themselves with us. All except one they are fiercely loyal but still outmatched with four other kingdoms backing us" the messenger said.

I sucked in a breath the air seeming non existent this couldn't be happening. I called immediately for my servants to send word to the other kings and queens.

The man shook his head "they said you were level headed" he said.

"I'm sorry I'm not as level headed as you'd been told especially since my people and I have been threatened if I deny the request."

He was silent then.

Why me he could have anyone it seems .... Why me? What my power? Each nation holds a power to them I'm nothing special. A lie I knew was the case but I'd never reveal it to any other kingdom or else they'd have either banded together to destroy me. It had happened to a couple of celestials born in the line. To the point where our kingdom had kept it a secret and would only marry one of the royal families.

"He knows your special" was his words.

I went as white as a sheet of parchment paper.... How was all I replied with.

"Let's just say your people and his people go a long ways back and he's done his research he said toying with the bear medallion" around his neck.

I could just see the desolation of my people before my eyes if this information were to be revealed. "I....I accept" I said finally. Servants prepare my belongings I'll be away for some time I said gliding off the seat to go back to my chambers to change. Before I left I called back to his messenger if he had did so much research he'd have known I took a vow of chastity permanently and I will not break it for him.

"We'll see" was all he said before I left.

I had to meet this mystery king I hadn't even heard of. I should've asked him where was his kingdom? An now that I think of it I'd sent voyagers to search farther regions away an hadn't heard a thing back from them. Id assumed they're travels were just long and hard.

I changed into a white dress that was light and had slits up the side I'd need flexibility to move without constraint in case of battle. After that fateful day I'd built my strength and body up to fight against any foe. I switched my thoughts to the handsome messenger I didn't want to wallow in old memories or else I'd be in a sour mood. Once changed out of my ceremonial robes I went back to the throne room to leave with.... What was his name I hadn't asked.

"What is your name" I called as I entered back into the room.

"My names Gideon" he said pulling his hood off his head revealing the rest of him and he was .....breathtaking.
