Feral Mate

CHAPTER 1: DARKNESS

I opened my eyes and everywhere was dark.

I was in front of a house, it wasn't particularly a house anymore because the house had been burnt beyond repair with half of the sides almost falling down.

What happened here? I walked to the front of the door and turned the door knob and opened the door, leaves came flying at me because of the wind I raised my hands to cover my face because of the dust, the wind was too much I had to close the door behind me. The floor creaks with each step I took forward, it seems as though the floor can't even hold my weight.

The light from the full moon was shining through the room and everything and everywhere were in ruins.

I walked around the house still trying to figure out where I was. I saw a room with a door.

Every room was completely burnt to the ground. How was this room still perfectly okay?

I turned the door knob and walked in, every part of the room was okay it was like the fire didn't get in here, the bed at the edge of the wall, the wardrobe and the dressing table was all intact I walked towards the table to pick up the picture frame on it and when I look down there was a boy smiling with a woman, man and a girl almost bigger than him.

The girl looks so much like my sister Laura, how can I not recognize that gummy smile she makes when she wants to beg for something. I looked back at the small boy in the frame, Is that me? I seem so happy here, the man beside the woman looks so much like me now this must be my mum and dad I thought. I turned to look at the room once again but everywhere begin to change, the room seem so scary now I felt something else was in the room with me lurking at the dark corner waiting to bounce at me, I felt a cold a shiver down my spine, I quickly dropped the picture and ran towards the door and turned the knob and ran out instead of the burnt ruined house I found myself in the forest.

Where am I? I thought again, as I tried to find my way around my sister called my name,

"Derek"!! Where are you? You are running so fast I can't keep up with you.

"Laura", I said hoping it was real and it was her voice I really heard she quickly appeared in front.

Let's go back home, we have been training for a long time, Mum and Dad will start getting worried.

"We have a mum and dad? I said", still trying to figure out what's happening.

"Are you all right?" Why did you run so fast, you left me behind trying to show you can outrun me huh!

We both started walking back home, as we got closer we saw everywhere was on fire and everything was burning down, many of our packs and some people from different packs laid died on the floor

We both started running towards our house as we got closer, Our house was burning down . The fire was so much we couldn't get in without burning too. I could hear screams coming from inside, I could feel the pains in their screams.

Laura was screaming and crying so badly while some people held her down from running towards the fire, while some were still trying to put out the fire but it was like whenever they poured water, the fire increased

" Stop, I walked towards one of them trying to pour more water into the fire. I sniff the water and it reeks of oil. They poured oils into our water knowing we would try to use it to put out the fire". How could they not have known there was oil in the water? What is wrong with their nose? We could smell someone from miles away but can't perceive this".

I rushed towards the window and started trying to pull out the burglary proof out, as i looked into the fire I saw my Dad lying in the pool of his own blood with half of his legs burning while my mom was trying to put out the fire on his body while she was burning badly herself, while my remaining family and the maids were all running around screaming and burning.

"They weren't even trying to pull the windows down; it was like they couldn't get close to the window". I could feel something was wrong, but I can't figure it out.

Our Luna was burning, my mom wasn't even trying to escape, it was like she had accepted their fate.

"Mom! Mom!!" I said screaming, she turned to look at me and instead of running towards the window to me, she raised her hands and made the run sign.

My hands were burning badly from the fire, but I was not giving up, not until I save my mom and everyone.

I was trying to pull the irons out and was still screaming for my mom, when I saw her fall down the fire was too much she was already badly burnt

She turned to a werewolf and let out a loud howl. It was like a command, I felt cold shivers down my spine, everyone came running at me and started pulling me away from the fire.

I was still holding the irons strongly when I saw her fall down and change to the human form. She was badly burnt and I couldn't recognize her anymore. I was still screaming when they succeeded in pulling me away. Some part of the roof came crashing down as they pulled me away.

I let out a loud howl and I could feel stronger like a rush of power was flowing through my veins. It was so painful, I wasn't prepared.

Pain pounded through my body, my brain pulsed against my skull with blood rushing through my veins. I let out another howl and knelt down with my hands spread out. My eyes fluttered open and I could feel my eyes changing from green to Red.

My vision blurred like I was Underwater, foggy shapes moved around me, while my eyes tried to get used to the changes.

"No,no...  it can't be, I can't be an Alpha yet".

Becoming an Alpha now means my dad has died, and I have been chosen as next in line to lead the pack,

I howled loudly and the remaining of my pack still alive howled back, like they know I am an Alpha now.

"I turned to a full werewolf and ran towards the forest, I wasn't prepared for any of this, I kept running till I got close to the Whitewolf territory arrows came flying at me, I tried to dodge them but one hit me

I became weak, my eyes slowly loosing their colors,

"Wolfsbane", I said before I fell down

I howled loud and I opened my eyes, my body shivered and shook as I clutured my ribs. I was awake and this time not inside the forest but in my room. I was dreaming all along, my room door opened and Atena, my fiancée opened the door. Are you having another nightmare she said and walked towards my bed and sat down.

" I am fine I said, I stood up and picked up my shirt and wore it and walked towards the door leaving her behind. Thankfully she didn't follow me. I opened the door and changed to my wolf form and ran towards the woods.

I started running towards the White wolf territory. Anyone I find dies tonight and my plan for revenge must be executed well tomorrow.
