Olivia POV

This place is really weird, it seems as if there is something rather odd going on. This is not at all like the place that has been described to me. I was told this place was amazing, kind, happy, full of life. It was none of those. It was full of hate, sadness, and everything seemed so dead. What happened here?

I walk around with Alex, him being the tour guide. A lot of people gave us dirty looks, even though I didn't know why. I continued to walk, until this girl stopped us, pure disgust on her face. "Alex! You missed our date! You promised you'd make it!" She yelled at him, making sure she said it loud enough that everyone could hear her. Alex blushes a deep red, trying to make amends, but she wouldn't have it.

"Who is she? Are you cheating on me with her?" She asked looking at me angrily, her hair was black with gray streaks, her eyes a subtle gray color, her skin the color of paper, she was beautiful in a dark scary way, nothing like him. He was more pastel.

"No, I'm not cheating on you with her, I was called to go get her by Chiron and Reyna. I'm sorry I missed our date, but I promised I would get new demigods, remember?" He says softly, making her angry eyes, soften just a bit.

"Okay, okay, I believe you. By the way, I'm Starlight. Starlight Schwartz." She says, shifting the conversation towards me.

"Hi Starlight, I'm Olivia Priece. It's good to meet you!" I say politely, trying not to be annoying. She looked like she was in no mood to talk to me, or even be seen next to me. She made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I felt as if I made one wrong move, she could turn the whole place against me.

"Good to meet you too." She replies dully as if she was bored and didn't start the conversation in the first place. She leans over to whisper something into Alex's ear and walks away, her high-heeled boots clanking across the pavilion as she goes. I twist the bracelet around my wrist, the small comfort in this new place, this new world of people who didn't like me, and didn't want anything to do with me, but just saw me as some new inconvenience to the same old days they're used to.

"Your girlfriend is pretty," I said quietly, walking alongside Alex. He smiles at me as his way of saying thanks. We kept walking, as he continued to show me around. We passed a whole lot of people, none of them looking pleased to see me, or even Alex. We keep walking until we stop at these two people fighting, a boy with black hair and sea green eyes, and a girl with blonde hair and steel gray eyes. They were in hand to hand combat, both seemed to be well-experienced fighters, neither about to give up. The boy grabs the girl around the chest, seeming to have her stuck, that is until she judo flips him. He falls to the ground, and she wins.

I was shocked, everyone here had fighting experience and then there was me. They would kill me during the practice if they practice this way! I sigh, and look at Alex, waiting for him to do something. "Well, what do we have here?" The girl questions, eyeing me up and down.

"This is our new demigod, Olivia Priece. We just brought her here today, Annabeth." Alex tells her, as she looks at me with a cold, calculated glare making a shiver go up my spine.

"Well Percy, guess you still don't have any more siblings," Annabeth says like it was a good thing. What's wrong with being siblings with him? Then they all looked at me as if I said that out loud, making me blush. I decided to act like I didn't and said, "What?"

Alex points towards the top of my head, where a green trident was glowing. It was shocking, I had never seen anything like it...except in my Mythology book. The symbol disappeared as soon as it came. It left a shimmering mist around me, suddenly transporting me to this giant castle.

An army was gathered outside, as to keep unwanted visitors out, or to protect it from an attack. A General saw me and looked me up and down. He grabbed my arm roughly and started escorting me towards the large wooden doors of the castle. When we got there, he lets go, and I lose my balance falling to my knees. There is a giant man on the throne, staring down at me with a stern look on his face. He breaks out a smile a moment later.

"Olivia Priece, it's good to see you again." He says to me. I look at him quizzically, I don't remember seeing him or knowing who he is at all, who is he and how does he know me?

His face turns from happy to downcast as soon as he sees that I don't recognize him. He sighs, transforming into a smaller version of himself, clean cut, wearing a Navy uniform. Then I recognize him.

"Dad?" I uttered, completely full of shock. He looks at me and nods his head. I had not seen him in 16 years. "It's me. I have a lot of explaining to do, I know, but bear with me. Let's get you cleaned up." He replies, clapping his hands together.

Four maidens came into the throne area, taking me by the hands and arms and leading me to a what I assume to be one of the many chambers in this large castle. They help me get cleaned up, to where I look like I'm glowing. They have me in a long, purple flowing dress, gold sandals, my hair in a braided up do, and makeup that didn't even look like I was wearing makeup because it was so natural.

They return me to my father, and he looks very happy with the way that I look. Then he leads me into a more private room. I assume this was the Roman version of a study. We sit down and he tells me the whole story:

"You are a demigod." his voice lulled. "I am the god, Neptune. I am your father, and my brother Jupiter, the god of all gods, forced me to leave you and my other two children, Percy Jackson and Mackenzie Queens who are also like you, but from my Greek counterpart, Poseidon. My brothers and I made a pact that we would stop having children with mortals because they were becoming too powerful. Pluto is the only one that hasn't broken this pact.

"Because I broke the pact, they have decided that they were going to put some restrictions on your powers. They wanted to kill you, but I wouldn't let them, Jupiter's wife Juno and Venus were the only things that saved you. They took away your power to control the cold and ice, they took away your power of breathing under water, they took away your healing ability when you touched water, and I could not stop them. They wanted to make you as different from Percy and Mackenzie as possible. They took away most things that made you a Poseidon child, even changing your appearance to look like your mom and nothing like me. You once had black hair and beautiful green-blue eyes, and they changed it to brown hair and blue eyes.

"But, Venus blessed you with the gift of beauty, Apollo with the gift of singing, Diana with the gift of bow and arrow, which trusts me comes in handy as us children of the sea aren't very good at it. You have also been protected most of your life by Pluto, The Mist, the other gods, and me. Even though a lot of them want you dead, others want you alive, so you can be a hero, like your brother and sister. But they all blessed you in secret, so Jupiter doesn't know, or else you could be killed, and they may be stripped of their powers.

"You have met your enemy already. Starlight Schwartz is a daughter of the Greek goddess Nyx, or the Roman goddess, Nox. Nyx has blessed her with unlimited power of the Night to where she is pretty much a goddess. She doesn't believe anyone will be able to beat her in sword fights or hand to hand combat because everyone who's tried, is now under her power. Percy, Annabeth, Chiron, and many, many more. You are the only one that would be able to stop her.

"So, with that being said, you will stay here and train. You will work on everything, and you will have a trainer, his name is Will Whitman, and he will help you. He is the very best, and you will train for ten hours every day.

"Do not worry about your mother, she already knows, and she's safe. She is in hiding with your grandparents, and you will be fine."

I take a deep breath, this is way more than I expected.

"So basically, the world depends on me being a good fighter, when I've never fought a day in my life," I said, wringing my hands to get some color back into them. I didn't realize how tightly clenched my hands were to the desk until he was finished talking.

"Yes, but I know you can do it. Your siblings did it, and I believe you can too." He replies, placing one of his hands on top of mine, and gives it a squeeze.

"When does this training start?" I ask, ready to prove that I can do it and that I will.

"Tomorrow."
