"Seriously, Aomine. You got the last in the school again. 334th. Dead last." Wakamatsu sighed.
Seeing no sort of reaction from the said guy, as he looked on with the same lifeless eyes and bored expression, Wakamatsu yelled, "You had better buck up or I'll ban you from joining any of the competitions!!!!!"
"Mm..." was all that came.
"Tch, what do I do with this idiot!" he mumbled under his breath, clearly exasperated.
Those were the results of Touou Academy's Basketball Ace, Aomine Daiki. He was an idiot for basketball and the only thing he knew how to do well was running, passing, dribbling and shooting all around the court.
Besides that, he did not really have any passion for anything else other than girls with big boobs, mostly Horikita Mai. Of course, studies were not his top priorities and he did not excel at them at all.
Unbeknown to Wakamatsu, the captain of Touou Academy's Basketball Club, his threats did have a little impact of Aomine. This is where his childhood friends, Momoi Satsuki and Sera Hikari came in.
"Ki-chan! Look you got 15th in the level!!!" Momoi exclaimed.
"Sa-chan! You yourself got 17th!" Hikari pointed out. Momoi's pink eyes widened and sparkled up as she squealed in delight.
"Yayyyy! Ri-chan, I finally did it! I moved up the rankings!!" her face bursting with overjoyed expressions.
Sera laughed heartily. Aomine and Satsuki were childhood friends, associating themselves with each other since birth because of their parents. Sera had only met them in junior high school, when she had happened to be in the same class as Momoi. They instantly clicked and became close friends. Of course, Aomine tagged along as well.
"Dai-chan! How are your results?" Momoi yelled at him and pouted, tapping her feet impatiently.
"Dead last." Wakamatsu cut in. Aomine groaned in anguish as Momoi's mouth went agape and her high-pitch nagging reached Aomine's ears, irritating the shit out of him. He had intended to lie about it but, damn, that stupid piece of wakame of a captain.
"Why won't you just listen to me?" Momoi huffed angrily, obviously upset with Aomine.
"I'm not interested in this kind of stuff. Not made for it, not meant for it." Aomine replied.
"Ahomine!" Sera ejected.
"It was not easy getting him to study. Least be glad he passed his Japanese and History. Sakurai and I nearly died trying to get him to do his homework and tutor him." Wakamatsu piped in.
"I'm not surprised. That is very Aomine Daiki-like." Sera sighed.
"Dai-chan!" Momoi puffed out her cheeks.
Aomine reached over and poked her face cheekily, "Cute," he grinned.
"Hah?? Dai-chan, be serious! This is your senior year! Don't go fooling around like that." Momoi sulked.
Man, did that boy get her so upset. He is after all the main reason why Momoi even pouts and flares up. That blue-haired idiot. But Momoi had to bear with him. She wanted to see her beloved childhood friend do well in life.
While the Momoi went on ranting to Aomine, Sera's mind was forming various possibilities on how to get that idiot to improve his studies. "Horikita Mai-chan." Sera mumbled though she wanted Aomine to hear it.
Exactly as she had wanted, Aomine's ears perked up almost immediately, but his eyes remained seemingly uninterested.
"What?" he queried.
