Eren's POV

August 18th, 2nd Period

When Eren and Armin arrived at class, the same two seats from last time were still empty, so they decided to take advantage of that, rushing promptly to their seats, like someone was gonna take it from them; even though the class was barely half full. Eren now realizes Jean is in this class- yesterday he didn't even know who Jean was- he is now sitting a couple rows in front of them, a little to the right.

"Are you gonna tell me what happened at the park last night now?" Armin started to ask. "I didn't get to sleep much last night, thanks to your -" He couldn't even finish the question, as Eren covered his mouth with his hand, looking in front of him with wide eyes. "What?" He asked, muffled through Eren's hand. "What are you staring at?" In response, Eren nodded forward. Armin followed his eyes and saw Jean looking back at them both, his eyes focused and unbothered. Even as more kids walked in between them, he was damn focused. Was he there after he left? Eren thought. He was rushing through the few possibilities in his mind, until he landed on the most obvious one. Of course he actually left, he thought. But he heard Armin talking about the park, and last night. The park where he was with her. Shit.

"I'm sorry to do this to you, Armin, but it seems this needs to wait until lunch." He said as he turned to Armin, who now looked sad.

"Wait, w-what?" Armin looked back up at Eren, appearing to hold back tears. "You gotta be kidding me...."

"Sorry little dude." Eren said, now looking forward again.

"Why, though..." Armin asked, his voice slightly quivering.

"Horseface over there is the girl's boyfriend, Armin. And I'm pretty sure he just heard us."

"Wow, really? Someone like that bagged-" Eren proceeded to cover Armin's mouth again, before Jean heard the devilish things Armin was about to say. Sure, he was a bit quiet, but his intelligence gave him the ability to have a bit of a foul mouth sometimes.

"I just said he heard us, dude. Are you trying to get your ass kicked?" Armin was about to respond when Dr. Zoe entered the class, in a brown leather jacket and a dress shirt, with her goggles over her eyes this time. The class silenced immediately. Zoe had, in one day, gained the reputation of a terror demon that tormented students that disobeyed her. Not with action from the principal, but with public in-class ridicule. It's safe to say that the two want to avoid that.

"On a lighter note," Eren started, "did you sleep well last night?"

"Is that a real question?" Armin responded. "I still have no fucking idea what happened at the park!" Armin yelled in a whisper.

"Yeah, just your chaotic pie-hole up and-" Eren stopped bullying Armin when he saw two older boys sit at the front row. The same boys in matching jerseys that were staring at him when they went down the stairs. Thank goodness this time they were acting like normal humans. Eren nodded in relief and laid his Chem papers on the table for Dr. Zoe to collect. When she came around to the duo's row, she just dashed across it with her hand on the table, swiping all the papers off into her hand. Right when she passed the two, it was the perfect time for someone to say something, and noone to hear. "We talked and walked home together," Eren quietly blurted out, just as the sound of stacked thin paper scratched across the floor. Armin turned to Eren, with the look of hell on his face. He knows Armin can't say anything, so he chuckles, because he enjoys watching him in pain.

After the period ended, thankfully, the two started walking to lunch as a girl approached them. As she was walking down the hall to the top of the stairs, Eren and Armin consecutively turned away from her, and at each other.

"Is that her?" Armin murmured, side eyeing her with malicious intent.

"Yes," Eren responded, "And stop staring." He then slapped him in the face. "Here she comes, act cool." She stopped right before them, the oversized forest green hoodie she was dressed in covering her long navy blue skirt that ended at her ankles; much contrast to Eren's oversized black fluffy turtleneck, and black jeans. Mikasa looked around them for a second, before making eye contact with Eren. She looked up at him with a face he couldn't read; but certainly a face that doesn't emit positive energy. She then walked right off, confusing both Eren and Armin. When they both turned back around, they saw something off; the two boys, in matching jerseys, staring at them from the corner. The blonde one had furrowed eyebrows. He's either angry, or attempting to think for the first time, Eren thought, as he laughed and clapped his hands, walking down the stairs to lunch.

"Hey!" Armin yelled after him. "Where are you going?! Don't leave me here!"

When he finally caught up to his friend, Armin pulled his shoulder back suddenly, jerking him back.

"Holy shit, where did that raw strength come from?" Eren asked as he readjusted his hoodie."

"WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT ALL ABOUT?!" Armin yelled. People walking by stared at him in shock. Armin, noticing this, put his hands over his mouth, ashamed.

"Those dudes are Jean's friends. The same Jean that dumped the girl. The same girl I had a moment with." As he finished talking, his cheeks turned red and he started smiling.

"Oh my god!" Armin scoffed. "Do YOU have a crush, Eren Jaeger?"

"Oh my god!" Eren responded, mocking Armin. "Are YOU a nosy bastard, Armin Arlert?" Armin's smile dissipated immediately.

"No." A few moments passed. "Maybe."

After school, Eren was almost home when he saw the two boys again. Are you fucking kidding me? Eren thought. They're perfect for eachother. Creepy fucks. In response to them following him, he stopped right away, and turned to face them. In responde, the pair stopped as well. The blonde one's eyes were still furrowed. Maybe he was still trying to use the cells in his brain. Eren immediately walked off, and they did not follow. When he finally got home, Eren peeked through the window next to his front door. Noone was there. He sighed and looked down in relief. As he did, his mother walked in the room. And approached him calmly.

"What's wrong Eren?" She asked, also peeking out the window. "Is someone there?"

"No, ma. Noone's there. I hope."

"The men aren't coming back, Eren. it's okay," she said in a dead serious tone, as she grabbed his shoulders.

"I know, ma. Everything's chill. Just checking." He walked up the stairs to his room, dropping his backpack to the floor on arrival, and shutting his doors. I need to debrief, he thought to himself. Slowly but surely, he fell asleep on his bed. Calmly.
