The boy rested in the sea of dandelions as the wind gently whispered across his face. He had a dream about something recently, a beautiful dream.
A dream with birds soaring through the sky, and dandelions swaying in the wind.
A dream where the boy was happy, where his parents didn't argue endlessly, a dream where his sister would finally play with him as all siblings would do.
He smiled, then opened his eyes.
As he sat up, rubbing his eye from the sunlight, he noticed a magnificent view.
A view, with birds soaring through the sky.
He glanced back, towards his house in the distance.
A figure was outside of his house, washing clothes in a bucket.
He got up and ran across the sea of dandelions to his house in the distance. As he ran, two deers emerged from the woods and began to run beside him. He smiled, then picked up his pace.
When he arrived at his house, he noticed that it was his beautiful mother, laying their linens to dry on the clothesline.
He turned to the side and noticed his beautiful sister, picking the vegetables from the little farm that his father had planted last year.
"Mother!" He exclaimed as he hugged his beautiful mother from behind.
His mother turned around and smiled at her beautiful son.
"What a wonderful surprise!" She said as she turned around again to pin the last linen onto the clothesline.
Suddenly, a voice could be heard in the distance.
The boy turned around and noticed his father, walking towards the house with a rake in one hand, and a basket in the other.
"Father!" The boy ran to his father, who picked up his beautiful son and swung him around and around.
The boy laughed a beautiful sound that sounded like the twinkling of bells on Christmas Eve.
"My son, I have prepared a wonderful surprise for you!" The father said as he sat down his basket.
The boy peered into the basket and noticed that it was filled with the most delicious of food. The boy licked his lips and reached into the basket to pick up a piece of bread.
"Oh, how wonderful, father!" He laughed as he danced around, holding his piece of bread up toward the blue, blue sky.
The father smiled, looking at his beautiful son dancing in the sea of dandelions.
