Ranboo flicked his head up from the book he was flicking through, "is that the rain?"
Tommy's head snapped towards the window, he could only see bit and pieces of it through the bookshelves litering the local library the two were in. He could see dark clouds outside but couldn't make out any rain, but that didn't matter since the unmistakable sound of rain hitting a roof suddenly got very loud and ranboo's question was confirmed.
"yeah.." Tommy stood up from the chair he was slouched in and pulled a face as he spoke, "shittt, I don't want to have to fuckin walk home in this weather."
"I hope it clears up quickly," Ranboo agreed and closed the book before placing it back on the shelf where he had gotten it from.

The two wandered around the library, looking at books and magazines for a while before one of the two librarians working there walked over to them.
"I just want to warn you that we will be closing in fifteen minutes. You can stay until then but there isn't much point." The name badge he was wearing read 'Karl J.'
"Okay, thank you for telling us." Ranboo quickly responded. He always spoke faster than normal when talking to strangers, tommy had noted once when he had been at a party with him and Tubbo.

"Should we leave now? I doubt the rain is going to get any better in fifteen minutes" Ranboo turned to Tommy once the librarian had left.
"I guess so. It'll be fun seeing you looking like a drowned rat, ranboo" Tommy teased. Ranboo just sighed in reply.

They made their way to the doors and exited the building but stopped just outside, still under cover from the rain.
"I wish I had brought an umbrella or something, I really don't want to walk through that."
"Then don't walk." The taller teenager turned their head to his companion and squinted at them in confusion. "Let's run."
"Wha- No! That's way too dangerous." Ranboo lurched his arm forward to grab Tommy when the other boy began to sprint. He got a fistful of damp air.

Ranboo tipped his head to the heavens, groaned, flipped his hood up and started jogging after Tommy. He could only half see the boy through the thick rain but that was enough to chase after him. Tommy stopped running once he got under a tree that protected him from the weather. Soon the two boys were panting together, under that tree, both soaked to the bone after just a minute or so of being in the rain. Tommy shook his head like a wet dog and lightly sprayed ranboo, who made a noise in retort but didn't move out of the way.
Soon their breathing had slowed and they got ready to run the next stretch.
