Beauty and the beast

Once upon a time, there was a young girl named Alessia. She lived in Yvoire, a small village on the countryside of France close to the sea. Most people would think it's a nice village with kind villagers but the village was filled with loathing and hatred for the young Alessia, even her parents would treat her awful. Most nights she would sleep between the pigs and eat the leftovers she could find in the trash. Why did everyone detest her so much you might think, well she was absolutely repulsive. She had frizzled black hair that was never tamed, her face and body were covered in freckles and birthmarks. Her teeth weren't even and she had fangs. So, because of her appearance she was known as the Beast of Yvoire.

Her life had been full of despair and cruelness, but it all changed when she met Cecilia. Cecilia had moved to Yvoire after her mother died of an unknown illness. Cecilia had also gotten sick with the same illness as her mother, but in stead of dying she lost her sight. Unlike Alessia, Cecilia was adored by the villagers.

One day when Cecilia got lost in the forest near the village, she had a fateful meeting. She met Alessia. They befriended each other and soon they fell in love. But Alessia always felt crestfallen when she remembered that her love of her life couldn't see her and if she could, she would leave her.

One day Alessia had wandered around the village with this thought present in her mind when she was ambushed by the villagers. They were planning to kill and offer on the marketplace. When Cecilia got word of this, she begged her father to take her to the marketplace to save Alessia.

But before she could reach the marketplace the villagers had already begun their ceremony. They had bound Alessia to a cross by pinning her hands and feet down with arrows. As they had shot the arrow that was meant to bore through Alessia's heard, Cecilia jumped in front of it dying immediately.

Alessia was enraged, she tore herself from the cross and killed everyone except Cecilia's father. Since then, she's known as the Beast who lost their Beauty.
