June 14th, 1967. 6pm

We find ourselves deep into New York. It's 1967, the summer of love and life is blossoming tonight in the city. The sun is starting to set and the nightlife of NYC is coming out of hibernation.
A basic, brick built apartment complex. Small square windows, each side of the building symmetrical. It's guaranteed the view from inside is much nicer. 6th Floor.

"Peter, you know Peter right? He lives here in NYC, originally from London. Yeah, he's gonna need a little chinwag with me later on about collaborating."
Jimmy Hazel, solo musician, unlocks the door to the musty apartment.
He stands back briefly, letting the door creak open with a push.
He has wavy curtain bangs, his hair forming a slight mullet at the back. In a basic white tee and flared jeans, he doesn't stick out much as a successful musician.
"Does that mean you won't be going out later?" A slightly taller man with shoulder length caramel hair asks.
"We went out yesterday, Jon. Sure I can be out for a little, but i'll have to hop at 9."

Jon, a solo musician, walks into the dusty apartment alongside Jimmy, dressed plainly in brown flares and a tucked white dress shirt. He and Jimmy traveled to NYC on plane yesterday.

"Make yourself at home, I haven't slept in this place for a couple of years." Jimmy mentions, patting down the couch as Jon walks over to the window.

Outside is New York, battered in golden hour sun. Not quite in the centre but the outskirts, people are scattered on paths like ants as the vehicles pile behind eachother in traffic.
"Why's it been so long?" Jon asks.
Jimmy sighs, stretching his back.
"I haven't had a gig in New York since '64. I've been too busy working on new records and my venues have changed. It is what it is."

"Well the venues here are still decent, right?"
"Yeah. Yeah." Jimmy sighs.
There's a brief silence, with only the beeping of horns echoing distantly through the building.
"Pre-drinks, Jon?"
"Yeah alright."
