Okay so this is my first book on this site so I'm really new to this! So please be supportive and not hate on the idea and tell me if there is anything that needs to be improved! Remember this is something you cannot copy so please do not steal the idea please! Later on I could change this into separate books so let's see what happens! (I'm really bad at getting organized) okay so let me get right to it, here's Space and its games.
Space and its games (prologue)
The room was dark and silent, nothing more than a heavy breathing sound coming from a figure that sat in a chair, the only glimpse of light coming from the keyboards right in front of it. The language must have been foreign, nothing we humans could read or at least of that we are aware of. This place didn't seem as if it were on earth, the technology is too advanced. All I did was stand next to it and obey his every commands, it's been like this for a while. Every year I would stand next to him as he brought the contestants in and see them tear themselves apart. But my feelings don't mean anything here, its means nothing everywhere for is that everyone is as cold as ice.
I could hear a loud clicking sound coming from a distant hallway, sure bringing us news. The door slid open automatically as the figure arrived to the room.
"Sir you have a person waiting for you on the line to speak to you." The voice said calmly.
The heavy breathing stopped and slowly raised his hands and pressed one of the keys on the keyboard, making another figure appear on the screen. The figure was in a dark room as well, we could not have seen how it looked like, and everything ran with secrets here.
"Are you ready?" the figure asked in a low voice, which was sure changed to hide its identity.
"Aren't I always? "The thing next to me asked in a smug voice.
"Good, this year I was planning to add a new planet as a competitor. Earth." the figure next to me tensed slightly but calmed immediately.
"Why add that planet when the only things you will find are weak humans that don't last long in the game"
"The reason does not matter. To replace the planet Rynon we needed a planet that was offering to give us competitors, weak or not." the figure on the screen talked back.
"Affirmative, I'll send out the invitations immediately."
"Good I can't wait to see how this year turns out." It laughed back.
"Me neither." And with that the screen went dark again making the ever dull dark room dark again. The figure took a deep breath.
"You ready Ink?" it asked me. I was always ready. I had to I was the so called "host of the thing".
"As I ever been." I replied not shifting positions.
"Good, because something tells me this year will be interesting for me and for the competitors." And with that stood up and walked away. I never shifted positions though until I was sure it was gone.
I slowly said to myself "it's show time."
