Alexandria was sitting in her room, when her boyfriend of two years called her.
"Hey boo!." She said when the face time call began.
"Hey Lexie." Bryson said
"How's Texas with your dad so far? The last time we talked you weren't having any fun." She said
"Well I don't like working at the oil rig with him. But my cousins have made it more enjoyable thats for sure." He said
"Well thats good. I miss you." She said
"Lexie, I um I have bad news." He said
"What do you mean?" She said as a lump formed in her throat.
"Well, I like it here. I mean I hate the job part but I like being here with my dad and his family. So my mom has agreed to let me live with my dad. So I won't be coming back to NY at the end of the summer." He said
A tear began to roll down her cheek, "What brought this on Bryson? Three days ago you couldnt wait to get back home. Now you have changed your mind." She said
"Lexie I..I met someone. And I didn't want to be that guy that cheats." He said
Lexie swallowed hard, "You're breaking up and staying for someone you just met?" She said
"Lexie.." he said but before he could say anything else she hung up.
Bryson tried calling her back, and texting her to try and smooth things over. But to no avail Lexie wouldn't budge on answering. She just cried herself to sleep.
