“I will keep you warm,” I told Meow because he was shivering in my arms. I put him in my jacket on my chest. I wouldn’t want him to get pneumonia. Aren’t rainforests supposed to be warm and humid? I thought to myself. The path was under drapes of leafy and covered in vine trees. I could see the path clearly due to the openings lined in the very tops of the trees right above the path that let sunlight in. I felt grateful for at least that, considering the circumstances. After what I predict was about/around 4-5 hours of walking and running, I was getting drowsy and thought about taking a nap. I looked around for a clearing that I could rest at. I found a small meadow on the right side of the golden path about 20 yards ahead. I kept Meowgy in my jacket and layed down on the soft green grass. There is that fresh green grass smell I smelled in the house this morning. I thought it must be around noon (12:00 pm) so I figured it was fine to take a nap. It was warmer in the clearing than it was on the path. Meowgy apparently thought so also. He nestled down in my jacket and started purring like he always does when we take naps or go to sleep. I guess we woke up around 2:00 pm or so because it seemed chillier when we woke up than when we went to sleep. I noticed a little spring at the base of a big based tree that seemed as tall as the sky. We walked back onto the path and I saw a cup just right in the middle of the golden path. I started speed walking towards the cup. The next thing I know, I was running now and I made it to the cup in a matter of seconds. A huge urge took over my hands and mind. I couldn’t control myself. I have to. I told myself. I started playing the cup song from Pitch Perfect.
