Thump, thump. Thump, thump. All I could hear was my heart. Not the terrifying man with the scar across his eye, shouting orders, or the freakish women with the different colored eyes. All I could hear was my heart going thump, thump. Thump, thump. Then just....nothing. Absolutely nothing. The next thing I knew Alice was shaking me awake.
"Lilly! Lilly! Wake up!" I bolted awake, drenched in sweat. Alice was on the right side of my bed, with both of her hands on my shoulders, still shouting "Lilly! Lilly" I could tell I had a weird look on my face.
"What?" I asked, as she turned on the lights.
"You were thrashing about again and I couldn't take it so I finally woke you up. Almost lost a finger in the process." Alice replied. I squinted at the clock that read 12:53am
"What was going on in there?" She asked as she poked me right in between the eyebrows.
"Stop it!" I snapped, as I whacked her hand away.
"Well, are you gonna tell me or not?" She urged on.
"Ugh, I had no idea that little sisters could be so annoying," I said with a smirk as I eyed her.
"Whatever," she replied as she turned off the lights.
