Authors note: This is the first short story I have written. I know there are spelling and grammar mistakes but just ignore those;) I would love feedback as long as it isn't just "This story sucks!" I looked up at the sky to watch the fluffy snow fall on and around me. What was supposed to be fresh, clean and pure was covered with my blood and the blood of the other unfortunate victims. I can here the screams and moans, the crying of babies who are scared and hungry and the crunch of snow as the survivors look for their loved ones. No ones looking for me, they already got my family. Not that I care, they did try to sacrifice me first. I got away though, I thought I was going to survive, but one look at my split open stomach told me otherwise. I am another faceless sacrifice. Better me then someone who had people who loved them right? Wrong. I was the one who was supposed to change the fate of the world. I was the one who was going to overthrow the elders. The “chosen one” in a way, but that term is overused. But, now I lay here about to venture on one of life’s greatest mysteries, is there a Heaven? A hell? Who was right? I just hope the its not evil lord Xenu. O God, please don’t let the scientologists be right.
People are running away. That means they’re coming. The elders clean up party are coming. My time is up on Earth, now I must go to things beyond this life. Maybe I will be a ghost, forced to walk the earth, lost for eternity. I don’t mind dying really. It’s not like my life would have been any better. Sure I was supposed to save the world and people from doom. But they killed me. Grabbed me and threw me out for a sacrifice. The party’s here, time to let the darkness come over me. Time for me to find my final resting place.
