So this is new, if you've read the old part six and seven they have completely changed so you will want to reread this.

I walked towards the storage holder with Sarah next to me. She was playing with her hands, probably out of nervousness. Even I felt the need to click my fingers, something I normally did before exams when I was stressed.

“Here you are then.” The man who was showing us to the storage locker stopped, pointing to the yellow grated door to our left. Saying a quick thank you, we watched him walk back down the corridor before Sarah approached the door.

She unlocked the door and slid it to the side. I closed my eyes, if the hard drive was in there; it was my ticket back to a normal life. My hands were sweaty as I clenched them together.

A small gasp escaped Sarah’s lips, making my eyes snap open instantly.

 There was nothing.

The storage container was completely empty. Sarah’s eyes filled with tears, a look of total desperation was plastered on her face, and my own probably mirrored hers as I felt my heart drop.

I stepped forward, my feet echoed around the empty room. The walls were just a plain grey colour which matched the floor. Looking around the room, I saw something on the opposite wall.

Walking towards it I realised that it was a note taped to the wall. I pulled it off the wall, my breath hitching in my throat as I read what it said.

Not here- already checked

The E’s

I screwed the note in my palm, my heart hammering. “They knew that we would come here, which means they could be round here. They’ve probably been waiting for us to get here.”

I grabbed Sarah violently who was still crying softly. “They know we’re looking for it Hana, what are we going to do? What if they get it first?” She sobbed quietly. In a normal situation I would have comforted her and offered her some support but if The Eagles had been waiting for us to check the storage unit they could be on top of us at any moment.

“Sarah, I know that’s bad, but we have to concentrate. The Eagles know what we are doing, that means we have to leave now, in case they’re on their way here.” I looked into her eyes, trying to get through to her.

Slowly she nodded before I pulled her out of the door, locking it behind me. I looked around the corridors, I didn’t see anyone around. Going back through main reception was probably far too risky.

Biting my lip I assessed our other options. Looking around I spotted a fire exit at the end of the corridor. I dragged Sarah by her elbow down the dimly lit corridor, trying to make as little sound as possible, towards the fire escape.

My eyes never stopped looking behind me and in every open storage unit as we rushed towards the door. Sarah was still sniffing slightly. I guess I hadn’t realised how hard that must have been, seeing that all of your husband’s belongs had been taken. She must have only a few things left from him.

I pushed open the door, checking if the outside was clear before throwing Sarah out of the door; looking behind me before I stepped out after her and closed the door as quietly as I could.

We ran to the car, partly out of fear and partly because of the fact it was pouring down. I flicked my hood, still weary of being noticed be a citizen.
