Yay! Finally finished this one. Also, for clarification, I write two chapters at a time. That's why it's taking a while just to get one chapter out. And also happy new years!

Basils pov

Len came back with our drinks, that's when we heard the door open. "Heeeeyyyyy Len!" Kel bursted through the door. Wait kel-

"Kel?" Sunny perks up. "Oh hey Sunny! And basil." Kel makes his way to us, grinning like a idiot. "What are you doing here Kel?" I ask. "Oh I work here part time!" Kel states.

"And your late!" Len appears behind Kel. "Ahh! H-hi Len!" Kel looks at the red head, mortified. "If you were here on time, you would get paid more ya dingus!" The waitress hit the athletes head. "Owww! Why can't you just be nice to me!"

Me and Sunny chuckle. They clearly are pretty good friends.

Comparing the two, they seem like they came from completely different worlds. While they're both wild in their own way, Len seems more grown up. More sure of herself.

Meanwhile Kel is impulsive. More energetic. Kel was not self aware.

The two kept bickering, and me and Sunny just kept watching. Kel looked towards us. "Hey since we are here, tell hero and Aubrey! It'll be a LOT easier!"

He ran behind the counter, putting on his work apron. "Oh no you don't! Your making the next five coffees, Kel!" Len runs after the poor man.

"Heh. They're cute." Sunny comments. "Yeah! But we should text Aubrey." Sunny nods and takes out his phone. He starts tapping away, leaving me to think.

What's going to happen? What are we even doing? We are just getting my stuff today, right? Are we going to try to send my parents to jail? Maybe even a fine?

But then what? What if they don't get any charges? What if I'm forced to go back to that house?

I jump at the sound of the door, zoning back in. "You ok?" Sunny asked. "I'm fine, sun. Just thinking."

The people who came in the door was hero and Aubrey. "Well you two came quick." Sunny points out. "Yeah, well we wanted to make this plan happen!" Aubrey also points out.

Hero and Aubrey sits down after giving me some hellos. "Oh! More guests?" Len walks over to our table. "Hi Len!" Hero politely says. "Hey hero! Kels being a pain in the ass today, can ya give him a talking to tonight?" Len, still as energetic as normal, wrote something down.

"Can I get a chocolate cupcake, Len?" As Aubrey asked, Len looked horrified. "Holy shit what happened?! Is someone going to die?!" Len asked, holding her notepad protectively. "Maybe~?" Aubrey teased.

"What was that about?" I whispered to hero. "...i don't know." Aubrey sighs. "It's code for 'pissed', dumb ass." She punched my shoulder. That hurt man...

Sunny leaned on me. Has I heard him sigh in content, I could only feel happiness. All my friends here, happy. We just need Mari.

I could see Mari in the seat across from me. She was smiling, fidgeting with her hair. Strangely, her hair was purple.

The room faded to white. The only thing I could see was the round table and Mari. "Heh. What a fitting place for Sunny to bring you." She spoke. Her voice was the same as the last time I saw her, sweet and comforting.

"Why are you here?" I ask curiously. To be honest, I was afraid.

"Oh, I'm your conscious. I know everything about you." Mari points a finger at me. She got so close to me, she touched my nose.

"That doesn't answer my question, hikki. Why?" I back away from her hand. Hikki is scary. "Hmm. Your no fun." She pouts. She snaps her fingers, the landscape morphing into a field of flowers.

The field of corpses.

"Anyway, your having feelings for Sunny again. I'm going to give you a choice." Hikki holds up two fingers. "One, I can hide your feelings again forever. Or the second option, you can live with the fact you love your best friend."

I thought long and hard about what she said. I don't know what I should do...

"Can I have more time? Just to think." I laid down in the small bed of dandelions.

"You can have all the time you need."
