Sleep

You gasp for breath, drenched in a cold sweat. Your nightmares have been coming to visit you more than usual. You got up to get a drink of water and decided to wander the halls a bit to help ease your mind. The cold floors were both soothing and shocking to your previously warm feet. You began to zone out, allowing your feet to carry you wherever they pleased.

When you took a look around at your surroundings, you found yourself at the boys wing of the dorms. You realized, to be specific, you stood in front of Bakugo's dorm room. Curious, you tested the door knob. It was unlocked.

You knew how "creepy" your behavior would seem to outsiders, but Katsuki was your boyfriend. You knew he wouldn't mind you coming in.

You crept inside and carefully slipped in bed with the blond.

"Hey, what are you doing in my bed?" He groaned, "you really snuck into my dorm to sleep with me huh? Clingy idiot."

"I had a rough night okay?" You frowned.

He hummed sleepily, "Had a nightmare huh?"

"Do you want me to go?"

"It's not like I'm gonna kick you out either way," he sighed, "you can stay or whatever, just, stay on that side okay?"

You ignored the last part and shuffled closer to Katsuki.

He growled, "I said stay on that side."

You buried your face into his back, surrounded by the scent of burnt sugar and smoke.

"Why are you so damn clingy, was the nightmare really that bad?"

You nodded, this time, it seemed more vivid than usual. However you shifted slightly further from Katsuki so you didn't annoy him too much.

He groaned, "alright, alright, 'm too damn tired to deal with this right now, so just, c'mere."

You moved closer happily, rewrapping your arms around his torso.

"The hell did you dream about anyways that's got you all needy all of a sudden?"

Once you explained your dream, he hummed. "Sounds shitty, nothing you can't handle though, right?" He chuckled lowly when you slightly shook your head, "oh come on, you're tough."

"I know dreams can be awful but hey, it's only in your head, remember that." You smiled a bit.

"You have me, so even if that dream was real, I'd never let anyone hurt you, got that?"

You nod in agreement and tighten your hold on him. Damn right you have him, and he has you.

"Good." He muttered.

"Touchy as always, huh?" He said after a small pause. "If you're gonna continue cuddling me anyways, at least let me be the big spoon." You both shifted so he could wrap his arms around you comfortably.

"Now go to sleep already damn it." He said with a yawn. He chuckled a bit, you could feel him slowly drift off to sleep.

You laid in bed, while your mind was buzzing, your body begged you to sleep. Remnants of your dreams flitted through your brain as you struggled to fall asleep. You decided to focus on the way Katsuki held you, his strong arms gently draped across your waist, his breath fanning against the top of your head.

His body was exceptionally warm and felt like home. He sniffled before clearing his throat and drifting off again. His deep breathing slowly lulled your troubled mind to rest.

You felt your limbs get lighter as your eyelids felt heavier. You lost track of time as your conscience wandered off back into the darkness of sleep, and soon, your breathing evened out and your heart slowed to help your brain fall asleep.

And soon you did, Katsuki's soft murmurs and deep breaths like a soothing white noise.
