I wish we were old enough
To out and get really drunk.
That way we wouldn't think about growing up
Or how 2020 sucked up all of our fun.
We've spent so much time apart.
Too much solitude is bad for our hearts.
It reminds us just far
We all truly are.
Most of the time, we're on Zoom,
Learning in virtual school,
And sitting at home, stuck like glue.
No matter what we do.
I miss the small talks
And playing on the streets with chalk.
Now I'm surrounded by nothing but quiet walls.
COVID, this all your fault!
I miss my friends so much!
I want us to do more than chat online and play Among Us.
I want to go back to Starbucks
And see if they have any crushes.
Now, we're on month #10.
I want this pandemic to end,
So that we can all hang out again
'Cause I miss my friends.
I miss y'all. Stay safe.
