The Work Schedule

"Dude! I can't work Friday! That's like illegal!" screamed Derek.
"That's too bad, because the schedule has already been posted and you can't change it now." replied Sam, Derek's coworker and best friend.
"But, that's my anniversary!"
"I KNOW!"
"WHAT AM I GOING TO DO?!?!"
"I don't know." whispered Sam "but, I have to go before I wake Patrick. He's sleeping."
"Ok, bye Sam." Derek said hangin up the phone "I love that guy."
"I know you do baby." said Noel walking into the kitchen. "What was the heated conversation about?"
"Just the work schedule. Guess who has to work on Friday?"
"I'm hoping Sam." said Noel playfully. "But, I can tell from your tone that it's you."
"I'm sorry baby." said Derek looking down guiltily. Noel walked over to him and wrapped her arms around his neck.
"I know you can't change the schedule" said Noel trying to be sympathetic "so, when you get home, I better have the best present or you're not getting any kisses for a while."
"Oh trust me" Derek said picking Noel off her feet and throwing her over his shoulder "I will do whatever I have to, to make sure that doesn't happen."
