My head whirls to the side and my eyes meet his, and so do my lips, yet again. We were way too close for comfort and I was way too comfortable to sit right here, just barely touching Caiden.

"No, but even if he was, it would be just a drop off." I say, looking at him, gathering my bag and pulling out my phone yet again to text Helga and let her know Caiden would be taking me home.

"...Alright Let's go." Caiden says after a long pause of silence draws out between us.

How is this ever going to be simple!

Chapter Sixteen

To Holten; 

Holten, can you talk? I need to talk to you about something.

I chew on my bottom lip as Caiden drives me to my house.

From Holten; 

Anything for you Trainwreck.

To Holten; 

What if I'm confused? 

From Holten; 

Confused about what? 

Us?

To Holten; 

Yes. What if I really don't know what I want. 

I'm scared Holten. 

From Holten; 

What are you scared about? 

To Holten; 

Hurting you. 

Losing you. 

 I gulp and stare at the message I sent, then the message I received in return. 

From Holten; 

If you're confused, then you haven't proclaimed your love for me, then we're not committed. You're not going to hurt me, I'm actually glad you brought this up. My last relationship ended because of no communication, I would rather there be complete open communication than nothing at all, even if it isn't me you chose Trainwreck. I would still love you, even if you moved across the world, I would still love you. If you're confused, you need to explore this option and see if it's something you really want, if you don't there will always be a sliver of doubt in your mind and then we wouldn't have the happiness we both deserved. 

I stare at the screen, speechless. Not sure how to respond or react. 

I didn't realize Holtens feelings had really stemmed down to love. 

The guilt swirled in my gut even more as I stare at those sentences. 

To Holten; 

You just said you loved me. How do you expect me to react to that?

From Holten; 

Any way you want Trainwreck. 

I'm assuming Caiden's driving you home as Helga is at the office right now, but was coming to pick you up and abruptly stopped to go back into her office room. Use the time you have with him to see if there is more.
