Chapter 22

I still can't get over you...

"I do not understand why did I think that you'd have a positive reaction when you see me.." Sunghoon said as he glanced at himself in the mirror.

"Why did you come back...?" Ni-ki asked as he stared at the selfies they took together, he tried his best to not cry about it.

They both had so many questions, but none of them had any answers to them, maybe that was one of the reasons why the rain was falling outside. 

"Sunghoon-ah?" Sunghoon could hear Jay's voice in the background. Sunghoon sighed as he decided to wash his face and dry it with a grey towel that was near him. "I'm coming," Sunghoon replied. He walked through the door and soon after that, he noticed that Sunoo was there.

"Uh, hey..." Sunghoon said and soon after that, he swallowed a lump of saliva out of nervousness because Sunoo's stare was too fierce to handle, believe it or not. "Hello to you too, I guess." Sunoo rolled his eyes at him, while Sunghoon sighed in response.

"Why are you so mad at me?" Sunghoon asked while Sunoo gasped in response. "You seriously don't know!?" Sunghoon shrugged in response waiting for Sunoo to continue his speech. "You left without any warning, just imagine how much was Ni-ki hurting-" Sunghoon interrupted him. "I understand that you hold too many grudges about me and that you and Riki, might never forgive me, but I am sorry..." Sunghoon glanced down. "My mother at that time has gotten a great job offer and Ni-ki rejecting me was the last straw and the final choice for me to leave..." Sunghoon glanced down. "I didn't want to end up being selfish, but in the end I did and I am sorry..." Sunghoon locked eyes with Sunoo who was taken aback by Sunghoon's response. "Now, if you'd excuse me, Jay needed me something since he called me, thank you." Sunghoon smiled at him and soon after that, he walked away from him. "He truly does mean it..." Sunoo muttered as he glanced down. "Would it be a bad idea if I tell Riki about this...?" Sunoo questioned.

On the other hand, Ni-ki was listening to Heeseung's rants about his feelings, it was a pretty interesting experience, but at the same time, it wasn't.

"What if I just leave?" Heeseung questioned while Ni-ki widened his eyes at him. "Hell, no!?" Ni-ki let out and Heeseung laughed in response. "Why not, though?" Heeseung questioned. "It would be a lot better than being beside Sunoo and Jay, while I know that I love him..." Heeseung glanced down while Ni-ki sighed in response.

"Maybe, you're right..." Ni-ki locked eyes with him. "But, is it worth leaving?" Ni-ki asked while Heeseung remained silent. "You have a carrier here, you're a professor in a university-" Heeseung interrupted him. "Yeah, but maybe I can possibly have the same carrier abroad..." Ni-ki glanced at him and without saying a word he hugged him, he knew that Heeseung had his ups and downs in his life and that maybe moving would be his greatest choice in life for now... Heeseung hugged him back. "I know that it would be hard to you to see me leaving, but I am not quite sure if I am going to do it yet or not..." Heeseung let out as Ni-ki sighed. "Okay, you can do whatever you want to hyung, I'll always be there for you," Ni-ki said as he felt slightly sad because of it. "Thank you, Riki-ah," Heeseung replied as he let go of the hug. "I think, that I should go now..." Heeseung added while Ni-ki nodded at him. "Okay, take care hyung..." Ni-ki smiled at him as Heeseung stood up and left him all alone and just like that Ni-ki's smile disappeared, as he lay down on his bed. 

Why do always good people need to feel pain the most...?

Ni-ki closed his eyes as he placed his forearm on his forehead.

Though I truly do not believe that I am a good person in any way...

Sunoo was helping Jay cook dinner, while Sunghoon was sitting on the chair, scrolling on his phone. "How's aunt Sofie doing?" Jay asked while Sunghoon sighed in response. "Good for now, she didn't like the idea of me leaving, but a job opportunity is a job opportunity..." Sunghoon replied hoping that Jay won't ask more questions and he didn't, but Sunoo did.

"Did you contact Riki, yet?" Sunoo asked and Sunghoon sighed in response. "That's a no..." Sunoo muttered to himself. "Why are you so on about me contacting him?" Sunghoon asked, but soon after that he widened his eyes, he didn't expect that his emotions one of them being anger could affect what he was saying as well.

"Because he is my friend for your information you-" Sunoo was interrupted by Jay. "Sunoo-ya calm down and leave that knife on the counter please..." Jay said as he grabbed his wrist and Sunoo did listen to him. "Okay, but he angers me like I thought that they at least text each other if nothing!?" Sunoo said as he rolled his eyes and stormed out of the kitchen leaving Jay and Sunghoon alone.

"You are a jerk, Sunghoon-ah..." Jay said while Sunghoon widened his eyes at him. "I am sorry, anger took over me, and I-" Jay interrupted him. "You should talk with Ni-ki, you have enough time for that after all," Jay said and soon after that, he left not only Sunghoon but the dinner that was cooking as well, probably to check on Sunoo.

I am a disaster...

"Ever since I came back I am..." Sunghoon felt his eyes getting teary.

Every single place
reminds me of him-

Sunghoon sighed out of frustration as he let the tears roll down his cheeks.

That was until he heard Jay talk. "Well, Sunoo's okay, he's talking with Hee-" Jay stopped speaking as soon as he saw Sunghoon crying. "Hoon..." Jay gave him a pitiful look as he walked closer to him. "Come here, you big man," Jay said while Sunghoon sighed at him. "That was cringe hyung..." Sunghoon let out. "Yup, yup I know but you're hurting..." Jay said as he walked closer to him waiting for Sunghoon to stand up so that he can hug him and Sunghoon did so.

"See?" Jay asked. "That wasn't that hard," Jay added. "Yeah, but it's humiliating..." Sunghoon admitted. "Nah, it's not, that's normal after all, everyone has the stuff to deal with," Jay replied.
