You drew in a soft breath, you studied the tall pine trees that loomed overhead. They were tall, healthy trees, this town so far had not been what you had expected. You had seen no paranormal activity 'thank goodness...' You thought happily. You didn't want anything to spook you before you were prepared... You had to have a weapon on you at all times.
You pushed open the door of your new home; The Mystery Shack. A bell went off, hinting your arrival. A pair of brown, curious eyes peered from around the corridor of the staircase, then dissapeared, followed by a series of bumps and "Grunkle Stan, she's here, she's here!" You tilted your head and cleared your throat. "That must be Mabel..." You muttered, remembering what Stan had told you on the phone last night.
The pair of eyes returned, then followed by a body, and an adorable face with a wide smile. "Welcome to the mystery shack!" The 12 year old girl greeted her. "My name's Mabel!" You chortled, amused by her enthusiasm. "Awesome, I'm (Y|N)"
Your attention turned to a boy, his nose in a book in the corner. You walked up to him. "Aye, I didn't quite catch your name, kid." Dipper winced, looking up at you. "Oh? Hey, I'm Dipper, you must be (Y|N)." You nodded and smiled at him. "Smart kid, at least you listen to your uncle." Mabel came up behind you and tugged on your shirt. "GRUNCLE Stan, you mean." You chuckled. "Yeah, sure kid, where is the man of the hour anyway?" You said coolly. "He's in the gift shop, selling frauds to innocent tourists." Dipper grunted, not lifting his head from his book. You laughed at that. "Ey, your pretty funny, kid. I could learn to like you." You said, ruffling his hat and turning it backwards before walking off. Dipper looked up, blushing.
Mabel punched his arm, "you're totally digging her!" Dipper growled and punched her back. "Am not!"
You leaned on the entrance to the giftshop, the doorway holding you up. You watched Stan telling the tourists about a magic eight ball that could tell the future. "Alright, Stan. Enough chit-chat, you've scammed the shoppers enough. Let me go." You said across the room, catching the attention of everyone in the room.
"A-ah! (Y|N)! I didn't see you there. Sure give it a go." He said and tossed her the eight ball. You smirked at the crowd of people in the room. You got up on a desk, and clapped your hands. "Attention, attention!" You watched as a crowd gathered at your feet. You smirked, 'Idiots...' You held up the magic eight ball. "Ladies and gents, I know you've been searching the shack gift shop for the right memore of this wretched town. Well here you have it, the future telling magic eight ball." You jumped off the table and shrugged. "Your probably thinking that's what a magic 8 ball does anyway, well, this isn't your normal eight ball." You said wrapping your arm around a mans shoulder. "Aye, take a gander at this, sir. Alrighty, make a wish." The man nodded, "I wish-" "Ey, 'old up 'old up. Say it in your head, or it won't work." The man shook under you, you smiled in satisfaction. You watched him make his wish
"Right, now Mr. Sir, do shake this lucky thing." He shook it. "Alright, it says... Definitely." You smirked "Tsk, Tsk, now what did you wish for?" The man smiled at you. "For a historic even to happen." You smiled "Brilliant, now wait. It'll happen any second now."
Honestly you didn't know what to expect, but it wasn't what happened next. Definitely not what happened next_
Oi, enjoy the cliff hanger. I'll post another tomorrow. Leave comments on what you think will happen next~
