Even in their late teens, Dean and Delilah could still act like a child around their younger siblings who frankly were in their early teens.
Delilah covered her eyes as she counted down from twenty. "20.. 19.. 18.." Delilah said as her siblings ran to hide. Well, minus Dean. He never left Delilah's side. "3.. 2.. 1! Here we come!" She called as she and Dean ran to look for their younger siblings. As they finished finding the quads, their parents called for them. Delilah and Dean looked at each other, then shrugged and walked into their fathers office. "You called?" Delilah asked, Dean hugging her arm. "Yes, I did. Me and Chandler are gonna be leaving for about a month, so you two are gonna be in charge." Delilah and Dean looked at each other, then at Jimmy, then back at each other, then back at Jimmy.
"Again? Can't you guys just stay here?" Dean asked quietly. "Oh Dean, we really wish we could. But we've gotta work. We'll be back as soon as we can, and we'll even bring you guys something. What do you say?" Chandler said, walking to Dean and hugging him slightly. "Okay.." Dean mumbled, and laid his head on Delilah's shoulder. "Alright. We'll be leaving tomorrow morning, but don't worry. Chris and Karl are gonna spend the night here and they'll leave tomorrow afternoon." Jimmy said, then kissed Dean and Delilah on the top of their heads, and walked out of the room, Chandler following behind him.
"They always leave.." Dean mumbled. "I know, Dean. But, look at the bright side! We get to see Uncle Chris and Uncle Karl tonight!" Delilah said, trying to cheer up her twin. "Heh, yea, I guess so. Can we watch a movie tonight?" Dean asked, smiling slightly. "Sure. You can pick the movie, and I'll get us some candy and some popcorn." Delilah said, walking out of Jimmy's office and into the living room, and went back to playing with the quads.
~ A Few Hours Later ~
Chris and Karl knocked on the door to the mansion. A few minutes later, a sleepy Josie answered the door. "Hi Uncle Chris, hi Uncle Karl" She said, and smiled, then let them inside. "Hey kiddo. Do you know where Dean and Delilah are?" Chris asked as both him and Karl set their stuff down. "They're in the tree house." Josie responded, then walked into her room and shut the door. Chris and Karl went out to the backyard and saw Dean and Delilah stargazing in the tree house. "Hi guys!" Karl called, and walked over to the tree house. "Hey Karl." Dean said, and waved. "Hey Delilah!" Karl called. No answer. "Delilah?" Karl called again, then awed. Delilah was fast asleep, curled up in a ball. Dean pulled a blanket over her and turned to look at Karl. "Are they really gonna be gone for a month?" He asked quietly, as to not wake Delilah up. "Unfortunately, yes." Chris responded. "Oh.." Dean said, and laid down, staring at the night sky. Chris and Karl looked at each other, frowning, and went back inside.
