CHAPTER ONE/On the road...again

Today's like yesterday,and that since many years.i cant remember how many...well i prefer not to remember.i look in the background.the sun sets behind the horizon.i can see smoke covering the roofs.fog is coming back.i mumble..

200 miles left till i arrive to my destination.FILTOWN.what's this name?....i don't know where i'm going.cant wait to stop driving.4th gear.now I'm on a long straight speedway.thoughts stop melting for a while,falling back in my mind.my head is empty,I've lost the ability to analyze,my eyes are like a camera which is broadcasting.looking to the steering wheel;its worn state means alot...the lightened areas where my hands are laying on show the numberless miles I've shared with this 1984 light green Chevy...The cracks due to my nails are relevant of how tense can my trips be.3rd gear.it was like two years ago i guess.i was on the road,driving to the north.past midnight.i was trying to get to the motel.5 minutes from here.and 2 bends to take...i don't remember if it came from left or right...could have been both how violent was the impact...sound of 'Blowin in the wind' stopped suddenly from the car radio...few seconds of silence-minutes for me-and then...bam!!!a dull sound in my ears, each part of my body was shaked...another period of silence.longer.

I might have bled whilst waitin for hours before i could see the revolving light of the ambulance. 'A real mess'. that were the first words of the doctor.

A traumatizing night i would have said...

Well...i shiver. i look at myself in the rear-view mirror, touching the scar, the only mark of this terrible night...oh and i forgot to tell u one thing.police said nothing had touched my car this night...
