It was a very exciting day for the Teller's. Abel was getting out of the toaster today. Jax had barely been able to sleep the night before. Despite not ever wanting to bring a kid into this life, he was very eager to finally getting to hold his son. He had woken Shawn up early this morning, which resulted in a very unhappy old lady as she was still slightly hung over from the night before. As soon as she got to the hospital, she made a beeline to Kris' office eager to tell her the news.
"Knock, knock." Shawn spoke, walking into Kris' office with a big grin on her face
"You either got really good sex last night or...," Kris started, looking up from her computer to face her best friend, "you have something to tell me."
Shawn looked at her in bewilderment, tilting her head to the side, "how'd you know?"
"We may have stopped talking for 10 years but, I still know you."
Shawn nodded in agreement as she sat in the chair on the other side of Kris' desk, "Both actually. But we can talk about my sex life later. Abel gets out of the incubator today."
"That's amazing!," Kris cheered, "Dr. Namid said Abel has had some of the best recovery time he's seen."
"He's a Teller. They all put up a fight."
"Jax was the last person I expected to have a kid, ya know?" Kris told her, leaning back in her chair.
"I think...he always wanted kids...but the heart condition freaked him out and then him losing his dad and brother...he was afraid to have one," Shawn sighed, "But since the moment he saw Abel, he changed. He's careful with the club now, he's trying to figure out a way for them to earn straight and get legal."
"He's gonna be a great dad." Kris smiled.
Shawn had a break between appointments this morning so she stopped to grab lunch for her and Tig. She tried having lunch once a week with him since trying to get him home before 2 a.m. was impossible so dinner was pointless.
Grabbing the bags from Hanna's diner, Shawn made her way into the garage. But she quickly stopped in her tracks at the sight of an ambulance in the middle of the shop.
"What the fuck?" She questioned, causing the guys to turn and face her, "Where did any of you get an ambulance?"
"Tweedle dum and Tweedle one-nut." Tig pointed to Half-Sack and Juice. Shawn shook her head at the two, "Kip, I expected. But Juice? Really?"
"I had nothing to do with this!" Juice held his hands up in protest.
"Anyways, got your favorite from Hanna's." Shawn turned to her dad, handing him the bag with his food in it. Tig took it with a groan, "I love you, Shawnee."
Clay walked out of the office, stopping in the doorway as he took in the sight in front of him, "So, you stole an ambulance?"
Looking over at Juice for an explanation, who shook his head, "Again, I had nothing to do with this."
