Chapter 23

I just wanted to taste it." I pouted as I looked at the golden banana.
Tumingala ako at umiling lang siya.
"Anak, just wait," she said calmly while draining some banana.
"But I can't wait, Mommy. I just want to try one bite," I said, hoping for the best.
"Your one bite will end being five, " she smirked.
She made a face.
"I just want to cook so that I have something to share," I said, and I went to where she was.
I mix it well until the brown sugar coats the banana.
"I'm good, Mommy.
She moved her shoulders down as I drained the banana. When I was done, I went back slowly to the highchair.
"Yes, you're good at that, anak. It feels like it was taste good on the outside than mine," sa normal niyang tono.
"Mommy, you're making my hair messy," I burst out, but she began to eat.
I take my serious expression away from her and return it to its normal state. I looked at my mom, who was wearing a simple southern bell night robe, and moved the strand of her long hair in the back while eating the banana, still chuckling in the middle of it.
