(Wyyen POV)
I walk back into my stream room with the extra chair and see Jonathan, staring in awe at my phone. When he sees me, he shakes his head and looks away from the screen.
"What?" I laugh.
He shakes his head.
"Nothing. I was just surprised that you have an iphone-" he stops and looks at my phone. "Thirteen."
"Yeah, yeah, sure. What is it?" I lean over and look at my phone screen, wondering what could possibly make him so surprised.
He shakes his head again, and his eyes meet the screen again.
"Oh."
I exclaim.
"That's Joey. He's my friend." I laugh.
I never knew that Jonathan was the kind of guy to get jelly. He still looks awestruck, and he just looks up at me.
"So, are we going to stream?" I nod, still confused, but I don't say anything and we finish setting up.
"Hey guys, how's it going? Tell me about your day." I shout in the mic, Jonathan sitting in the chair next to me. He waves, his face emotionless.
I lean over to Jonathan, worried about him.
"You alright?" I ask, giving him a thumbs up. He nods, not making eye contact with me.
Not the reaction I was hoping for, but I'm hopeful that he knows he can ask for help if he needs anything.
We finish the stream in about an hour, and Jonathan seems to be feeling a little better. I'm less worried about him, so hopefully he's fine now. I tried to ask him about it, but he would just nod or shake his head.
I was a little worried when he told me his plans about coming, because I thought that having him here would feel like there was less space in the place, but now I'm remembering how good of friends we are. I should never take any of my friends for granted.
I walk down the hall after properly arranging the setup, so we can use it tomorrow. Jonathan is sitting on the couch on his phone looking anxious.
Maybe he's not fine yet.
"What'cha doin'?" I ask, sliding onto the couch next to him. He shuts off his phone immediately and sets it down. My eyes drift towards Jonathan's hands that look tense, as he grasps his phone tightly.
I don't worry about Jonathan very often, because usually things that he worries about aren't a very big deal, and it seems like it's the same in this situation, and he seems like he's keeping a secret and badly wants to spill. He usually can't keep a secret very long, because he's a guy that's ridiculously readable. An open book.
"Come on Jake Cake, spill."
Jonathan sighs dramatically and shakes his head. I know it's something that has to do with me, because of the way he moves his eyes, and I've just known him for a long time.
Jonathan clasps his hands together and tilts his head sideways.
"What do you think about-" He stops.
"You? Oh, no you're great."
He turns red and shakes his head. "NO, no, I mean, what do you think about Acey?" He sounded reluctant to ask and he's holding his breath.
I furrow my brows. "Acey?"
He nods nervously. I remember how we met and how much Jonathan wanted me to like him. I just couldn't, no matter how hard I tried. I still find him annoying, but I can handle streaming with him every so often.
He's so annoying. I think to myself. He's not the friend I want, it seems like he's always trying to get something from everyone, trying to be the centre of attention. I know he's a cool guy, but I just don't like hanging out with him, he's exactly the opposite of- of Joey.
Joey is the perfect friend, and he's always nice, never acting better than anyone. He always goes out of his way to make sure everyone's okay, and he's just great. Sure, I can see little bits of Joey in Acey, so I know Acey could be like him, he just doesn't try. That's okay, because Acey just isn't like that. Acey isn't Joey.
"Acey." I sigh. I know how Jonathan wants me to answer, but It's pretty obvious that it's not the truth.
"Acey is- He's great and all, but you know, we just don't get along. I want to be friends with him though, we just can't ever agree on anything, and we always fight, and-" I stop myself, knowing I could list forever, but it's not going to help me at all.
Jonathan looks half surprised, which is surprising to me, because I know he knows we can't handle each other.
"Well, it's late, we should probably go to bed." He checks his watch that he clearly doesn't have.
I nod, questioning what the drama was about. I'm starting to doubt that the problem is very small, because Jonathan seems really overwhelmed about something that he just won't tell me.
"Yup. Do you need anything?"
He shakes his head and we walk down the hall to our rooms.
"Are you sure you're okay?" I ask nervously, hoping not to bother him too much. He sighs and grabs his door handle.
"Good night Wyyen." He says with a fake smile.
