It was like any normal day at Grillby's, it was loud, full of customers chatting about random topics. Grillby was wiping a shot glass, as usual. Today was a busier day than normal, he sighed, obviously tired from all of the hard work he's been doing lately. He looked up to the seat in front of him, realizing that his favorite customer hadn't arrived yet.
Maybe he's just not gonna come today...? Grillby thought to himself. Sans came to Grillby's everyday, and he has been for years, he hasn't missed a single day without coming and ordering ketchup, or at least something WITH ketchup.
The fire monster was interrupted by his thoughts when he suddenly heard the bell at the door make a dinging sound.
Ding ding ding
He grinned slightly, clearly knowing who it was. Suddenly stopping what he was doing and putting the glass down he sighed happily.
"Heya Grillbs, one order of ketchup..
and please
..
put it on my tab will ya?"
Grillby stared at the short skeleton before ducking down and grabbing a bottle of ketchup from underneath the counter then handing it to sans. "Thanks bud, how has work been goin for ya?" He asked, taking a sip of his ketchup, "It's been .. fine, how is your brother?" "Well, he's still trying to catch a human so he can be a royal guard" Sans chuckled at the thought of his brother actually catching a human and being a royal guard, it's been years and he still hasn't caught one.
"Well" Grillby started, "At least he has hope, right? You never know .. maybe he will catch one and finally become a royal guard" Sans stared at the fire monster, chuckled, then took another sip of his ketchup, "Yeah, I believe in the guy, he'd make one amazing guard honestly, and when that day does come .... i'm gonna be so proud of him" Sans sighed and placed his elbows on the counter.
Grillby's chest made bumping noises that only he could hear, his flames grew a bit before dying down. He's had a crush on him for some time now, the thought of him being with the ol' skeleton that makes the most jokes that he's ever heard, he thought it would be perfect.
But
He doesn't know if Sans even feels the same, he really doubts he does but .. maybe there's a possibility? Grillby thought to himself about this, maybe it was just a tiny crush, nothing more.. everyone has tiny crushes once or twice in their life. Sans noticed Grillby looked lost in thought and suddenly cleared his throat.
AHEM.
Grillby flinched a tiny bit and looked at Sans, "Sorry! Did you want to order something else?" he asked in almost a whimper. Sans laughed and sighed, "Nah, you just looked like you were spacing out" "...ah..sorry about that" he responded. Suddenly, a group of monsters sitting in a booth called sans over, "Well, duty calls, I'll see ya later" he waves bye to the fire monster and walks over to the booth and sits down with some of his pals, chatting and making puns every now and then.
Grillby sighed, rolling up his sleeves as he started to wipe the counters, kinda eavesdropping on the conversation that Sans and the monsters are having. One large purple monster with one eye and a sharp toothy smile spoke, "Say, we never hear about your love life, find any ladies interesting?" he asked, grinning a sinister smile at Sans. The skeleton flinched slightly, his cheeks turning a little blue, but he then relaxed and calmly answered
