"Gosalyn!" Drake called out, his voice slightly echoing in his hideout. The amount of Darkwing memorabila, giant computer, the two spare costumes that were displayed next to them normally brought a swell of pride to his chest, especially when the sun was just starting to rise. Yet because Drake hadn't gone to sleep yet because of their move, Launchpad leaving only at 4am, and now the little girl he had tracked here had him ignoring it. "Gos, you come out here right now!"
"Sorry Darkwing, but she is not here nor has she been here at all," W.A.N.D.A., his computer gifted to him by Fenton, said matter of factly. "Perhaps you should check elsewhere. I could run a city wide search to see where she might have gone."
Drake put his hands on his on his hips and glared at her- he swore that if she had a face and body, she would be a terrible liar. The little line thing that moved when she was talking seemed to wobble just a bit.
"Isn't your screen motion sensitive?" W.A.N.D.A. hesitated, only proving his theory was going in the right direction.
"Yes, it is."
"Hmm. Then how were you on before I came in if Gosalyn isn't here or hasn't been here at all?"
It was silent for a moment, but W.A.N.D.A. gave in with a sigh. "She's in the rafters."
"You traitorous computer!" Gosalyn's voice yelled from above. Drake immediately started scanning the ceiling for the missing girl.
"Hey, I told you this wouldn't work!"
"Gosalyn," Drake said. "Get down here. You are going to be late for school."
"I'm not going, Drake. You can't make me." She must have been moving from rafter to rafter quickly- anytime he got a glimpse of her, she was gone within a second. Of course he just had to teach her how to nimbly and quietly sneak aroud and he just had to be an amazing teacher.
"Gos, we really don't have time for this! If you're going to stay with me, you are going to school!"
"Uh uh!"
"Gosalyn Waddlmeyer!"
"No!"
"Get down here!"
"Grandpa never made me go to school."
Drake glared. "Things are different now. You can't just sleep all day and be up all night."
Finally, she decided to show her face only to glare right back. "You do."
"Yes, well, I'm an adult and a superhero-" He pointed a finger at her accusingly. "You are a kid who needs her sleep and education."
She waved him off and disappeared again. "I got enough education from my grandpa- Besides, school is nothing but busy work and needless tests."
"Unbelievable," Drake groaned, facepalming (Even if she made a good point). "I am the terror that flaps in the night, I am the one that villains fear- And yet I can't get an 11 year old girl to go to school!"
"Wow," Gosalyn said, from behind him. Turning around he saw her hanging upside down, wearing what seemed like a gadget of his. Drake lunged at her, but she pressed a button and shot up so he almost tumbled to the floor. "That is sad." Again, she was behind him, again he lunged at her, and again she shot away. "Especially for a hero." He really should have learned from the previously failed lunges, but he didn't. Gosalyn had shot up at the last second and he hadn't noticed that she was hanging in front of the railing. He was moving too fast and couldn't stop his head from getting stuck.
