A figure could be seen laying on the muddy road, cuts visible all over her revealed skin. She was wearing a torn black and orange jacket with a spiral symbol on the back and a pair of bloody black shorts and ninja sandals.

Naruto's POV 

I breathed heavily as I clutched a worn-out forehead protector " Minna[1]...I'm sorry for failing you..." I whispered wiping at the konoha symbol gingerly, remembering all the times we shared together as comrades.

"We managed to defeat Madara, only for this? If only... I can stop Obito before he can cause all of this...." I looked up and stared at the sky "If only I could've saved you all" I murmured feeling my eyes brimming with tears, letting go oh the thread keeping me alive.

"You're not leaving yet, Gaki(2)!"

'I was always alone back then, never having anyone to be there for me. I grew up constantly being look at...As if I was some kind of monster. So I tried, to make them acknowledge me, as something entirely different.'

~Flashback~

"Oi! Kiba you idiot!" I yelled chasing after Kiba, who was currently running away with a small pouch held tightly in his hand

"Oh come on, It was just a prank!"  He yelled back, jumping roof to roof with me not too far behind him." Because of you I looked like an Idiot spasming around in there!" I retorted glaring at his back and picking up speed. Finally gaining enough distance, I tackled him and managed to grab the pouch, pour the contents on him and run off cackling madly in my head, making sure he wasn't chasing me and landing outside the Academy.

I looked on in amusement at Kiba, who is currently scratching himself all over. Stiffling a laugh, I grinned noticing the annoyed look he was giving me and waved around the pouch making him flinch and instantly turn away

"What did you do this time?" asked Shikamaru who was sitting a desk above me "Oh nothing~ just some itching powder" I said innocently,looking back at him with amusement dancing in my eyes

"Troublesome" he mumbled and went back to sleep. "I'll get you back for this Naruto..." I heard Kiba mumble while trying not to squirm in his seat, occasionally twitching

~End of Flashback~

Naruto's POV

I woke up to the birds chirping, groggily squinting from the harsh sunlight coming from above before looking around my surroundings, noting the difference of the once barren land now full of life.

'This...doesn't make any sense!' I thought panicking, before fainting from exhaustion.
