"Sorry Naruto-Kun, but even though I loved you, me and Toneri-koi are destined to marry for better of Hyūga. I am sure if I give Toneri-koi a chance, I will fall in love with him."

"WHAT! b-but you s-said...." Naruto pleaded with tears in his eyes.

"I am happy with him Naruto-Kun. You don't need to save me anymore." said Hinata.

Naruto's eyes turned red, but he controlled himself. "ALRIGHT! If that is what you want." said Naruto but he wasn't able to comprehend what was happening. Hinata, who had loved him for so long had willingly married other man for her family.

Kurama took control of his body and said "You shouldn't have done this. Never ever show yourself in front of me or I will tear your whole family into pieces."

Golden-yellow chakra engulfed him, and Naruto left. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Why Kurama? Why I am alone like this? Why no-one thinks of me as their priority? Dad thought of village first and sealed you in me even after knowing what would happen to me. Jiji never told me about my parents because 'if' it would leak, then 'maybe' Iwa would declare war on Konoha. He always gave the excuse that dad's enemy would harm me. Tell me Kurama how the hell a whole village wouldn't be able to protect a single child. Ero-sannin left because he didn't have time to take care of me with his spy-network. Kakashi-sensei always preferred Sasuke. Baa-chan knew I was her relative, but she never came back to take me in just because she was hurting as Konoha was reason for loss of her family. Sakura never cared for me and always chased Sasuke. Sasuke himself cared more for his revenge and now for his atonement. And lastly Hinata, she told me she had loved me since academy but for her clan to get new bloodline, she left me to marry someone else. Am I cursed Kurama, to forever be alone?" Naruto ranted as tears streamed down his face.

Kurama wrapped his tail around him and said "I really don't know what to say Naruto. What can I even say as most of your sadness comes from me."

"I used to think that at some time, Ya'know", Kurama a flinched a bit at that, "but we both know that's not true." Naruto murmured.

Kurama huffed at that.

"I want to go away from all of them. I don't want to be alone anymore ya'know, but I don't think I will meet someone who would want me here. I think i will travel, kind of like Ero-sannin." Naruto confessed.

"But isn't your dream to become Hokage?" asked Kurama

"I don't want to do it anymore and with how my luck is I think they will choose anyone else for the position." joked Naruto.

"Hmph.... as if." huffed Kurama.

"Anyways, let's go ask permission from Kakashi-sensei." said Naruto.

"You do know that he will not permit you to retire from being Konoha shinobi?" Kurama raised his eyebrow as he asked.

"Ehh... who is telling him about permanent leave. I will ask for leave and never return." Naruto shrugged.

"He will send for you. I don't think it would be too peaceful." said Kurama.

"Heh.... let's see if someone can actually find me" smirked Naruto. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[ In Hokage's office]

"Are you alright Naruto? I heard about Hinata. I am sorry but try to understand her position too." Kakashi said.
