SKYLAR'S P.O.V.
"Give me a second I, I need to get my story straight my friends are in the bathroom getting higher than the Empire State..."
Yeah, I was listening to depressing music while I was sat at home bored. Mum even took away my phone so I couldn't text Louis at school.
"This sucks," I muttered to myself. I had nothing at all to do considering all I really could do was watch TV which we all know daytime television sucks. I had already slept as long as I could to kill time but I was legit bored out of my mind. Around 2:30PM school was let out and about ten minutes later Nathan showed up at his bedroom window as always.
"Hey," he greeted me with a smile.
"Hey," I replied, not as thrilled.
"Where were you today? You weren't at school," he pointed out.
"Correction; I WAS at school. I just kind of left in first hour," I told him.
"What did you do?" He sounded suspicious.
"I got in a fight," I sighed. Acting like it was nothing. I'm not going to lie, I was ashamed of getting suspended.
"I didn't know you could fight!"
"Depends how far you push me. But I didn't fight back with this chick," I shrugged.
"So how long are you suspended for?" He asked.
"Three days. It's already day one and I'm bored being here," I sighed.
"You have your phone?" He questioned.
"Mum took it away," I told him.
"Don't you have a laptop?" He asked. I shook my head no. Mum struggled with her old job trying to pay bills and afford groceries for everyone which is sort of why we moved here when she got her new job.
"Louis said he would bring me my make-up work tomorrow, so I guess I can handle another day," I replied.
"Do you want to borrow my laptop? He asked.
"You don't have to do that Nathan! Plus my mum would allow me to have it if you gave it to me," I pointed out. He sat for a moment thinking before smiling.
"Jess is going over there tonight right?" He asked.
"I think so, why?"
"I'll just give it to her, and when her and Cole go upstairs to talk, she'll give it to you!" He replied like he had everything planned out and he was successful.
"If you insist, but I won't make you hand over your laptop," I sighed. I talked to Nathan a little while later until dinner was served. I ate dinner in complete silence since my mother had nothing to say to me, and Cole wasn't about to say anything either. Just as we were almost done eating, the doorbell rang.
"I'll get it," Cole replied quickly before making it to the door to be greeted by Jess.
"We're going upstairs mum!" he shouted and my mom just nodded. I finished my dinner before putting the plate in the sink and heading to my room where Nathan's laptop was now laying on my bed. I opened up the laptop to see the 'Notepad' program was open and Nathan had wrote a note in which I read slowly.
Skylar,
I can already tell by who you are that you're lying to me about beating someone up. You would never do that. I gave you my computer because I know you needed it more than me at a time like this. Don't worry on when to give it back, I don't exactly use my laptop anymore anyways. ;)
- Nathan
I smiled and closed out of the notepad before clicking on games and playing simple solitaire, that's all my night was made up of. Terrible computer games.
