A 24 year old man known as Nagisa Shiota has become a teaching sensation. His endeavours at Paradise High has become common knowledge throughout the teaching community. His students and teachers alike both greet him with a genuine smile and he smiled back. However his smile hasn't been genuine for the last 9 years.

Its been almost exactly 9 years since his first and last kill. The victim was his middle school teacher who managed to change the student's outlook on life within weeks. He was a superhero to all his students. However the magnificent teacher had be killed, the word was that he would blow up the Earth by March 13th and he was sent to teach at a class in order to raise the chances of killing the monster before he blew up. However the students discovered a way to lower the chances of the explosion to less than 1%, while the students were overjoyed with the news a chance is still a chance which the Government couldn't take.

Using a machine they had trapped the teacher and were going to kill him in a couple hours while their weapon took time to recharge. The teacher's students went to try and save him however they would have to kill him. There was no way for their teacher to leave alive and the teacher's final wish was to die by his student's hands. Nagisa Shiota was the one to stab his heart and kill him and while the teacher exploded into tiny particles the class wept. Each and every one of them shed a river of tears.

Nagisa Shiota has dealt with the guilt of killing his mentor and causing his classmates and unimaginable amount of pain.

He was at fault.

His classmates had never learnt of the guilt he felt as he had hidden it from them. After all, they would all say that it wasn't his fault and it was inevitable. But they wouldn't understand, no one could.

After all, they weren't the ones to deal the final blow.

However, even though he had kept it a secret, his closest friend found out. The girl also had felt her fair share of guilt due to lying to her classmates about her identity and because she used them for months. The girl, Kaede Kayano whose real name was Akari Yukimura was a talented actress by the time she was in middle school. She had a knack for hiding her true feelings and during a meeting between the 2 friends she found out he was acting.

She could tell that his smiles and gestures were all faked and that he was lying. After days of noticing his fake behaviour she finally confronted him about it and he shared the fact that he been feeling guilty about Korosensei's death for the past 9 years. Kayano asked why he didn't tell anyone and he responded that their words would be half hearted as no one could relate to what he is feeling.

Upon finishing his sentence he was embraced by Kayano who told him that she would do anything to eradicate his feeling of guilt. When he heard that he smiled, not a fake smile.

It was genuine.

Kayano had noticed this and it reinforced her confidence that she could help him.

The pair started to meet more often and slowly but surely made more progress. The progress made was even picked up on by teachers and students who said that his behaviour was different, as if he was a lot happier than before.

However the progress the two had made was halted. While she was able to relate to and help him heal the feeling that he betrayed his classmates she couldn't relate to the fact that he had killed a person. This stunted Nagisa's progress as Kayano was unable to offer advice and help where it was needed the most.

Nagisa had noticed that she was unable to help him which only reinforced the belief that he was a good for nothing murderer who wasn't worthy of a decent life, after all he had killed someone. And it wasn't just some random person, he had killed his mentor who only affected his life positively.

Slowly, the progress made was being undone. Kayano's attempts had become more desperate, she couldn't let her best friend suffer like this.

She couldn't let the person she loves suffer from this guilt.

That's when it hit her. She now knew how to get Nagisa out of his guilt and prove to him that he deserves to live a happy life.

So on their next private meeting she leaned forward. She then initiated a deep kiss between herself and Nagisa who was taken by surprise. His face had turned completely red and his mind began to question why she was doing this. Each time he tried to break away she would lean even more forward to keep the kiss going.

By the time it was over she hit 150 hits in a minute and a half. Nagisa was left a blushing mess while the blush on her face was noticeable but it wasn't as bad as Nagisa's. Nagisa began to question her and Kayano had responded that even though he had killed their teacher she was in love with him, and had been for the past 9 years.

Nagisa had also had a crush on Kayano, it had developed during their time on the Southern Island before the class was off to college. However, he never felt as if those feelings would be returned due to him being their teacher's killer. So the news that she had been in love with shocked the man. It had snapped him out of the belief that he didn't deserve to live a happy life as someone was in love with him, even though he had killed.

Kayano's answer was more than enough to kill of his guilt and initiated another kiss, except he was the prepared one now. Within half the time he had doubled the amount of hits that Kayano had dealt to him which meant that he gave Kayano 600 hits in the same time. This left her even more of a mess than Nagisa was previously. Nagisa however only had a slight blush that was barely noticeable.

It seemed that due to the kiss she was barely able to stand so Nagisa hoisted her up on his back and began the journey home so that she could rest.

He was thankful to have a friend like Kayano who would go out her way to help him.

Wait.. aren't they lovers now?

Nagisa couldn't help but smile to himself as the question entered his mind.
