The music was so loud that I couldn't hear Mr. Raymond speak. Not that I wanted to anyway. The swaying bodies on the dance floor was enough to make me cringe. The stench of alcohol was horrible when mixed with sweat. It was obvious that I didn't want to be here. But I suppose, Mr. Raymond was oblivious to that. Despite his efforts to make me call him by his first names, Michael, I wouldn't yeild. Besides, I think it's slightly inappropriate to call your 45 year old boss by his first name. Well in my head, it is. I was such a fool to believe that there was an actual Bussiness meeting tonight. I guess he tricked me into coming to this godforsaken club with him, and I, like the blinded idiot I am, complied. From the moment I entered his office to be interviewed 2 years ago, he had been doing nothing but trying to woo me. Even when he had a wife and 3 children. Mr. Raymond was blabbing about God knows what. Right now, my dress was feeling very uncomfortable. I wore a lime scuba panelled midi bodycon dress with a sweetheart neckline. Suddenly,  I felt Mr. Raymond grab my hand and say something that sounded like an invitation to dance. I politely declined saying that my feet hurt. We've been here for a total of 2 hours, yet he doesn't seem to give up. As I said, completely oblivious to my discomfort. I have been to clubs before and I wouldn't mind being in one right now, if only Mr. Raymond wasn't here. Even though
I don't to be here, I'm trying my best to have a good time. In that moment, I felt my phone vibrate in my hand. Looking down on the screen, I didn't recognize the number. I leaned close to Mr. Raymond's ear and murmured that I have to take an important phone call. Not waiting for a reply, I made a beeline towards the exit. I know I was lying, I didn't know who was calling, but I was glad to have an excuse to get out of there for a while. As I walked out onto the kerb, I answered the phone.
"Good evening, is this Ms. Evelyn Davidson?" A gruff voice asked. "Yes, this is she. May I know whom I'm speaking with?" I answered. "My name is officer Mitchell, I'm sorry to inform you that your brother has been arrested for drug possession." My day just keeps getting better and better. "Can I bail him out?" I asked while walking towards my car. "Yes, you can. It was only a little baggy. Not enough to bring to court. But nevertheless, drugs are illegal." He informed. "Trust me, when I get my hands on him, he won't even know how to spell 'drugs'." I mumbled under my breath. "Thank you for phoning me officer, and sorry for the trouble. I'll be there in less than 20 minutes." I said hastily shoving the keys in the ignition. I shut the phone not even waiting for a reply. This night couldn't get any worse.
