In the ambiance of a library, scribbling noises were heard.

A girl was writing on a sheet of paper.

----
Name: Ayu Alexi
Subject: College Application Essay
----

Her fingers were tiny, but her hands held the pencil firmly and moved with such speed. She had no idea what she was writing about, but she let her heart race and her entire thoughts pour into it.

----
MY LIFE

My name is Ayu Alexi. People call me Lexi. Only my family and best friends call me Ayu.

I thought to keep this a secret. But how can I if you should require me to write an essay about my life? I can't hide even a single part of it. All my flaws, all my mistakes, all my sins. It is my life. It is a part of me. And it is me.

Then I will tell you so much about me. So much so that even when I revise this draft, I will puke in disgust. Be prepared.
----

She didn't even know why she decided to tell her secrets to a freaking university. She was just a senior, not some kind of latent criminal. And hell, she wasn't going for English Literature. She was going for Medical Science!

And yet, she wrote her story like she was talking to herself.

What made her do that? What sort of person, or a thing, or even God Himself, could drive a person to spill all his or her secret memories to a sheet of tree pulp?

Yet she still kept on, until her hands could stand no more.

-----x-----

Her arms were exhausted, that's for sure. She cracked her knuckles and stretched her limbs. She looked up at her watch.

"It's 6 PM," she muttered. Her eyes widened as she had just experienced a sudden revelation.

She took her dark gray beanie and dashed to the exit.

"Shit, mom's gonna explode!" she shouted. Some people "ssh"ed her. Others glared. Others glanced and just muttered, "Teenagers."

She didn't care. Her dear mother was a dragon. If she wasn't fed, she would breathe fire.

The exit was surprisingly very close. She ran and pushed the door. It opened, and she was finally out.

But she felt something odd. The moment she took her first step outside, she felt... Empty.

Questions began to randomly pop in her mind. Who are you? What do you call yourself? Are you happy with the way you are?

She patted her head a few times. What had just happened?

The voice uttered not a question now, but a statement.

You left yourself in the library.

She just realized. Her essay.

She pulled the library's door again. This time, the library desk where she had used wasn't there.

Instead, it was a girl. Pale yellow sunhat. Dress all white.

Black hollow eyes.
