《MATT'S POV》
After finishing their assignments at the museum, they went back to the hotel and had dinner together.
Matt had hoped they'd hang out and play some games together, but everyone was feeling tired after the long day and went to their room instead.Matt also went to his room and decided to just take a shower and go to sleep, since he really felt like freshening up a bit.
Matt took longer than usual to finish his shower. He felt a bit nervous about being in the same room as this dude, who from his experience had been mostly mean to them. When he finally got out, he quickly got dressed and then exited the shower. To his relief he saw Charley had left. He had been in the room before, when Matt walked in, grabbed his clothes and without saying a word got into the bathroom.
He quickly walked over to his bed, and looked at the alarm clock. It was only 10:04 PM. He usually stayed up until at least 12. But he knew he couldn't really go looking for his friends, because there was no way Jay didn't bribe his way into staying in a room with Levi.
Alex had said he was really tired, so he was probably already asleep at this point. Nick was probably staying in Alex's room since he and Jay must've switched rooms.
Riven was also an option, but he had told Matt he was going to watch the latest episode of one of his favorite series which had just released.
Lastly he could try to meet Felix, but his roommate also was an early sleeper apparently, and Felix's room was on another floor so going there was honestly too risky anyway.
"I guess I just have to try to fall asleep." He sighed. He got into his bed and checked his phone a bit.
Felix was freaking out on the group chat about his roommate again, but nothing new since it was standard for Felix to freak out about everything that happened to him.The constant messages in caps gave him a bit of a headache though, so he just decided to put his phone down and call it a day.
He closed his eyes, but his thoughts kept running around, without giving him the chance to doze off and go to sleep. When reality finally started to fade a bit, someone opened the door.
Matt kept his eyes closed, scared that Charley would start bothering him if he knew he was awake."What the hell, he's already asleep?" He heard Charley mumble.
Matt heard him close the door, softly. Was he being careful on purpose?
Charley walked towards him, and then stopped. Matt tried to stay calm, but he still felt worried. After a while, Charley finally moved to his own bed, so Matt let out a deep breath. He clenched his teeth, angry at himself for possibly letting Charley know he was awake.
But Charley didn't say anything, instead zipping what was probably his bag open and making some soft noises. Then he finally got up and went inside the bathroom.
Matt opened his eyes as soon as the door shut.
He decided it was best to try to fall asleep anyway, so he wouldn't have to deal with pretending anymore, but then realized that when the shower would turn on he wouldn't be able to fall asleep with that much background noise. He sat up and looked around the room. For some reason, Charley's unpacked bag caught his eye.
If he did something nice, perhaps Charley might be nice to him and not attack him at night during these next few days. It was just a guess, but even if there was only a small possibility it would help he was willing to try it.
He got out of bed, and walked to Charley's bed. He opened up Charley's bag, and grabbed 2 pairs of jeans. Next to their beds was a closet space, which he opened up, and put the jeans in there.
