Dode the Flame Neej

Flames in pursuit of Darkness

Dode lives in the Endris Galaxy not too far from the milky way. He's from the sun of Enti. Many Entians go on to join the Flame Neej Temple located there. The Neej are known all around Endris for their many different elemental and magical gifts they learn from a specific temple. It is said that becoming a neej alone is the hardest thing you can do. The Flame Neej are mainly made up of Entians because they can survive any temperature with the temple being on the sun. Entians are known to be savages with elf like ears, bright orange hair, orange eyes, and brown skin who created the Flame Neej Temple on their sun where the Entians have inhabited for centuries.
Dode travels to the Gordian Steam Factory Planet revolving close to the Entian sun with his younger sister didi In search for the last Dark Neej who they heard was taking rest there. Dode knows him and didi will be able to handle him since the Dark Neej had to be weakened. He thinks maybe even didi could kill him herself.
Their ship begins to land at the bay. "Our ship is the smallest around because normally only giant Gordian Ships carrying stolen children from different planets, solar systems and even galaxies are destined to be dropped off here to work for the Gordian Factory until they are old enough to be sold for harder work to different corporations and whoever is willing to pay." Dode explains to Didi. They gently land. "So I have to pretend to be weak like these kids who couldn't even stop Gordians from stealing them. I could cut down all of them without even using the Flame of my sword." Didi remarks. "Leave your sword here for now." He tells her. The exit to their ship opens and they walk out with dode in his red robe and hood, while didi is in unian attire she took off of the dead body of a young girl she dueled with. Just before this mission the Flame Neej conquered the unian kingdom in the talin solar system ending one of many short wars. Didi and her three brothers helped kill thousands in the war. "HEAD COUNT RIGHT HERE FLAME. NEEJ!" a big green fat gordian man is walking up laughing obnoxiously to them as many young kids are being counted and processed on the bay around them. "How did you know I was of the Flames?" Dode asks. The Gordian laughs nice and hard then says "Well the Entian Ship of course and the Entian metal your nun chucks are made of WHOAA I've never seen such a thing! That sword you have must be Entian to-"just tell me how much for the unian kid." Dode interrupts. The man loses his grin. Dode notices fear in the Gordians eyes. Steam shoots from all around the giant copper pipes surrounding the bay and the entire planet. Twisted and turned all made to pump Steam outta the planet its unknown what the Gordians want with the poisonous steam. The man goes back to a smile. "half a million fede!" He boasts and begins to laugh. "Why so high Gordian? The Unian kingdom was destroyed they're all weak." Dode exclaims. The man's tone gets quiet "I think we both know that's a Entian girl right there." Dode lowers his chin and begins to step back slowly putting fear back all over the Gordians face. Dode's foot is back to the ground and his hand lies and the handle of his sword. "Then you have already betrayed your people because you know I'm lying, if u don't let her through as a Unian you will surely die." Dode says nonchalantly. Dode wastes no time to click his sword open and slowly unsheath it as if he was about to gracefully execute the Gordian. At this moment Didi begins to smile while Dode is always with a blank expression. " WAIT WAIT WAIT I DIDNT SEE THIS UNIAN NECKLACE SHE MUST ONLY BE WORTH ABOUT 100 FEDE!" The Gordian says then starts laughing and rubbing his big Gordian belly. As soon as Dode heard the Gordians voice he stopped with his sword only halfway out and resheathed it while raising his chin back up to face the man. "Sounds good" Dode says. the Gordian throws a small sack to Dode that he catches and tucks away then he looks to didi and smiles. He only smiles at Didi since he killed a person for the first time. Dode and Didi split ways as he walked back into their ship and didi went with the Gordian to be processed and put to work. Dode flies off Into the sky and begins to look for another place to land where he can slip through the pipes and sneak in to give didi her sword and begin looking for the Dark Neej.
He notices a small opening some of the pipes seem to be bent just enough to fit the ship through. Dode steers through the opening and lands the ship in what appears to be a very large abandoned storage room. Walls made of copper pipes and floors made of steel like metal riddled with holes. There seems to be no entrance or exit to the room. Dode steps out of the ship to look around. He notices a blue light behind a crate far in the corner. Dode takes a deep breath as he gently rests his hand on the handle of his sword. "Show yourself, so I can properly put you to rest." Dode says to the light. From behind the crate, a man emitting blue light stands up. The man is completely made of ice clearly from ithens the small ice planet that revolves very close to The Giant Moon of Enti on the opposite side of their solar system. The Enti solar system.
The man doesn't seem afraid even though the Entians of The moon are at war with the Entians of the sun separating the enti solar system in two. The war never ends because the Moon Neej and Flame Neej could never wipe out the other despite their efforts.
"Where is your fear?" Dode asks. "If you kill me you won't get in." The ithen man says. Then the ithen man smiles. "Or out" he continues. "Show me the way then." Dodes says after releasing his handle . The ithen man walks passed Dode and Dode follows to the middle of the copper pipe wall. Dode thinks to himself that he will kill the ithen once he let's him back out, because he could never let someone from across the Entian line exist on the side of the sun. The Ithen man grabs two pipes and begins to bend them apart from eachother. As he pulls the pipes apart, alot of steam comes off the ithens hands. Dodes eyes widen slightly at the light beaming through along with the sounds of young kids chattering, machinery, and piping hot steam blowing around. The Ithen leaves the hot pipes open wide enough for Dode to go through. As Dode steps forward to go through, the Ithen man suddenly puts his arm in front of him stopping him. Dode is infuriated but curious about this seemingly fearless ithen man. "You will need this Flame Neej." The ithen man says with a gas mask in his hand. Once this is said Dodes head lowers . Dodes blood now boils. "WHY WOULD YOU HELP ME!?" He thinks to himself.
Dode lifts his head back up and snatches the mask. He puts the mask on and continues through the hole, but suddenly it's shuts behind him. "I'll be back for you." Dode mutters. All around is pipes, turn wheels, metal ladders and kids with gas masks and many different tools. Most of the kids are at work fixing pipes and directing steam upwards, while some are clearly on break. All the kids are from 12 to 16. Dode begins to attract attention as he walks amongst the slave children since he is clearly 25.
" HEY LISTEN UP OR ILL KILL YOU ALL!" all the kids look to Dode as he yells. "IF ANY OF YOU HAVE SEEN A UNIAN GIRL WORKING HERE OR IF ANY OF YOU KNOW WHERE I CAN FIND THE DARK NEEJ STEP FOWARD NOW!" Dode finishes.
A small reptilian boy shouts to Dode."If anyone knows it Shigo!" All the kids laugh, dance, and chant the name Shigo. " take me to the one you speak of then." Dode remarks. The children get silent but then burst out in laughter. "Shigo works the lower decks with the bravest workers! He doesn't fear the moose spirits!" The little reptilian boy tells dode. "Moose spirits?" Dode thinks to himself. "I fear no spirits boy. Now, one of you Take me to the lower decks!" Dode says. The children laugh unbothered by Dode because of his blank expression as if he doesn't care about anything. "You will never fit it's a pipe that children use that gets you there in less than 5 hours." A Unian boy stops working on pipes to tell Dode. Dode notices his rat like tail and immediately knows he is Unian. "Usless..." Dode says. "Its no wonder the Talin guard didn't save the Unian kingdom." Dode continues. The Unian boys hands get clammy and he begins to tremble and cry quietly. "There is a giant elevator that hauls lots of kids at once but it takes 2 days to get to the lower decks." The Unian boy mutters to Dode. All the kids turn their heads to the same direction towards a gloomy Gate that Dode assumes is the elevator, and so Dode slightly tilts his head down enough for his red hood leave a dark shadow on his face but not low enough to be his fighting stance. Dode has good vision but prefers to use his hearing since Entians are naturally stronger with that sense, and that's part of the reason why he faces the ground in his fighting stance. The other reason is that Dode likes the Idea of hell and he likes to believe he is sending his enemies to a place similar to where he was born even though hell is said to be somewhere below. Deep down Dode believes the Sun of Enti is inside out with flames and hell on the surface rather then down below. Dode begins to walk towards the gate. No child is laughing. The children look in awe as Dode walks toward their greatest fear.
Dode lifts the giant rusty gate with one hand, walks into the elevator and then let's it drop shut. "Listen to me kids! If none of you report me to the Gordians I will be back to slay them. The protection of my Flame will be enough save you all. You will all be saved and the Gordians will feel my warmth if that is the fate you choose for them. Don't forget these words kids! The Great Flame Neej will be back for you!"
The boys all begin to cheer and hug eachother as Dode decends down the enormous copper elevator shaft. Dode sits down and begins to ponder. He begins to think of the temple. The temple is ran by 2 Flame neej together who were chosen by Dodes father before he died. Dodes father, the legendary Entian gauntlet carrier and feared king of the temple was slain by the Dark neej 8 years ago. Dode can't forget the moment when the new leaders made him swear not to tell Didi or Dida that their father was killed by the Dark neej and to rather let them believe he fell ill, the memory is burned into his mind. They were especially afraid of Doda the eldest brother knowing the truth. The 2 kings of the temple wanted Dode to handle the Dark neej because they were afraid of how his brothers or sister may react. Dode told them he wouldn't go without Didi his beloved little sister. At first the kings resented this idea but ultimately decided to let him have his way, which in Dode's mind is the way of the Flame. Dode wants Didi to kill the Dark Neej, he believes that it will be a big step in making Didi into a great Flame Neej following in her father's footsteps.
