(Before the story starts, I'd just like to tell y'all that I'm gonna try to prepare a Taylor Swift song for every chapter I upload. So feel free to play the music as you read the chapter! Just in case anyone is a Swiftie! Alright, now let the story begin. :)))

Today's scenery was beautiful. Ever since I've started living on these mountains, I've been greeted with breathtaking view every morning I woke up. The curvy path of snow where most of the people that use for transport is lined up with tall magnificent pine trees. A thick layer of white snow covers everything, a bonus to the scenery.

I watched as my boyfriend sped down the snowy slopes, doing an impressive flip mid-mountain and landing it perfectly. Zig-zagging the rest of his way down, sliding to a halt right in front of me.

"Hey baby, wasn't that just impressive?" Kai asks, kissing me on the cheek. "Let's get inside, I don't want my precious baby to catch a cold!" Kai said as he gently guided me indoors. Letting the door slam shut behind him.

"Yeah that was a pretty good run! Good job Kai." I said, giving him a side smile. "I'm sure I could beat that though."

"No way, I'll bet you a hot chocolate that isn't happening." Kai said, removing his snowboarding gear, shaking his head to get some snow off.

"You should first take a shower, otherwise you'd be the one catching a cold." I mocked him, earning a playful slap on the back. "Enjoy your shower! I'll help you open the shop!"

I chuckled as I heard him yell his thank you from a distant. I go put on my winter coat and opened the house door, immediately feeling the spine-chilling effect of the cold winter wind. I gingerly locked the door behind me and slowly trekked up the snowy slope in order to get to the snowboard shop.

As I arrived to the lodge like shop, I rushed indoors and turned on the heater and the lights. Throwing some earlier harvested wood, (Which was thankfully dry!) into the fireplace. I smiled to myself as I threw myself onto the couch of the shop.

The couch that Kai picked out and I hesitated on because of how expensive it is. Nowadays, I hog this particular couch all day.

It didn't take long for our first customer to arrive. Me and Kai started off only selling snowboards that were hand-made by me and Kai. We also have Chaeyoung, one of my close friends to draw designs on them and increase the value of the board.

Then, we started receiving complaints on how the boards were too pricey; since they only needed it for one day use. We noticed that we were losing business opportunity that way. So I came up with the idea that we rented out lower valued boards to customers that needed for on-day use.

From then on, business has been booming. Especially during winter holiday. Which is right about now.

My thoughts were pushed away the familiar ring of the doorbell.

"Hello! Welcome to Epic Snowboards! How can I help you on this fine snowy day?"

I raised up my head to see a family of four, two kids smiling brightly at me. I really like kids.

"Oh, hello ma'am. I'm looking for four boards. We have two adults and two children. We would also like to rent boots to use the board with please." The man said, raising up two fingers with one hand and interlocking gloved fingers with his wife on the other hand.

"Alright sir, I'll be right back with some boots for you guys to try on. Hold on a second." I said as I disappeared into the back storage.

I grabbed 4 pairs of different sized boots and carried them to the counter. Arranging them so that they line up from largest to smallest. I was about to accommodate the family when my phone rang.

"Sir, you guys can come over to try them out. Tell me if there's anything wrong with them. I'll be there as soon as possible to check it out." I said, giving them a smile and leaving the shoes on the ground near them.

I picked up the phone. "Hello?" I asked through the line. Weird that the caller ID showed that the caller was in Seoul.

Then a really familiar voice greeted me. "Hi Jennie." It didn't take much for me to recognize her voice. It was my sister.

It has been over a year since we talked.

"Oh my god! Irene?" I exclaimed in shock. No matter how long it has been, there was no awkwardness between us at all. "It's been so long! I didn't even know that you changed your number! How are you and Bo-gum?"

"I'm sorry for not telling you earlier. Oh well! Me and Bo-gum getting along really well! I'm falling for him more and more day by day! And that is one of the reasons why I called you!" Irene declares as she clears her throat. "I'm getting married!" She happily says.

"Oh my gosh what? Congratulations! You and Bo-gum make such a charming couple! Of course you're perfect for each other!" I said, smiling ear to ear for them, I'm seriously happy for my sister.

"That reminds me why I called you! I want to invite you to my wedding! You're my favorite sister! It would make me really happy if you could make it there." I could feel Irene's puppy eyes through the phone call.

"I'll try my best to make it. I will do anything not to disappoint my beautiful sister!" I said playfully.

"Okay, perfect! I'll send you the details very soon! Keep in contact with me! We must catch up soon. I feel like I have missed out on a lot of your life." Irene says sadly.

"Yeah! We should definitely do that. I'll get back to you soon Baetokki, I have work to do." I told her, suddenly remembering the family trying on snowboard boots in the store.

"Oh alright then, I don't want to bother you. Talk to you soon!" She finished and hung up.

As she hung up, now I know that I'll have something to look forward to.
