As i stare at his picture on the wall, memories began to flash back. I'm back at my old job as a waitress at a coffee shop. I was wiping down the table with the lavender scented cleanex as he walked through the door, Anish Hasan. He was so dreamy, he had every girl in our class clinging to him like a puppy.
Anish came in everyday and would just sit at a table and read his book all day long. I always wondered if he came to see me, but that was just my ego getting the best of me. " Can i get you anything,"i asked. " No thanks, im fine," he said with a smirk.
He sat there, reading until it was closing time. He was so caught up in his book, i had to tell him to please leave we are about to close. The memory changes, now im entering the book store at which he works. As the bell above the door dinged, a few leaves blew in as i enter.
I went to the romance section, but could'nt find the right book. Anish came to me, " I see your having trouble picking the right book, " he said with a grin on his face." How bout i give you a recomendation Addie," he said.
My cheeks went pink, he knows my name. I was screaming internaly, as he pulled out a book from the rop shelf, You've Reached Sam. " Its a great YA romance," he said. As he handed me the book, i proceeded to read the back. This is exactly the kind of books i love.
Does he know me that well, cant be, we never spoke to each other in school." Thank you, you can ring it up for me," i said. " No worries, consider it as a gift, for being a loyal customer,"he said. I was dumb struct. " Well thank you Anish, " i said, with a smile on my face.
" You wanna go out sometime soon," he asked.
What the hell, did he just ask me if i wanted to hang out with him. The memories changes again, I was sitting on my porch waiting for him to pick me up for our date.
His car pulled up and i walked over and sat in the front seat. "You look beautiful, as always," he said, his dreamy hazel eyes searching my face, as if he were looking for something.
My cheeks went pink, i was certain he saw that. " Are you blushing, he asked, with this cute smirk on his face. Its been a month since we've been dating, and i can feel my heart falling for him. As we drove to Geovonies', he kept looking at me and smiling.
We entered the diner, him dressed in a white shirt and jeans, me in a pink and white floral dress. We found a table next to the window, where the sun set beamed on his face. I could feel my heart melting, as he stared into my eyes.
He slowly leaned across the table, his face so close to mine, his eyes glued to my lips. Omg is he about to kiss me. As his lips grazed mine, my eyes closed, sinking in this moment. When he pulled away, my I eyes flew open.
"What's wrong Anish,". "I just wanted to make sure you're okay with kissing me."
He was so sweet and kind. I placed my hand on his face and pulled him in, as our lips locked, and our eyes closed. "Uhhhmm, what will you be having today," the waiter asked.
We pulled away in embarrassment, my cheeks flushed pink, and him scratching the back of his head trying to play it off. The memory fades as my mom honks her car horn, letting me know she's off to work. I take the picture of the wall and cram it in the box with the rest of his stuff. I never even knew i had so much of his belongings, just lying around.
I carried the box outside and set in the passenger seat of my car. Am i making a mistake or, is it the right thing to do.
