Aiko's Pov.
It's been a few months since the camping trip and everyone is doing better, but I've been having problems. My dreams are getting more vivid and scarring my physical body, every morning I'd wake up and find a new scar somewhere on my body whether it be open or not.
"River, it happened again." Jade said.
"Where is it Jade?" I asked.
"Left part of your ribs, right below your chest." Em answered for him.
"Thanks Emily." I said returning to my room to stitch the wound. Once I finished with the wound I went back to the kitchen, no one spoke. "I had a vision again." I broke the silence.
"What was it about?" Dawn asked.
"Us." Was all I said.
"What about us?" Jade asked.
"This is one of the ones that is better off untold." I replied, sadly. They nodded and something felt off. "Do you guys feel that?" I asked out of curiosity.
"Now that you mention it, yes." Emily said, looking around. I looked around at the time and I had to leave.
"I have to go to work now, I'll come back later." I told them.
They nodded and tossed me the keys. I nodded and went to change into some formal wear. Once I finished I left the house and took the car. This is my personal car, it has everything I need for my job. I was aware I had put myself on Slenders radar, and I was hoping that he would do something. I got a call from my boss telling me to come in and get my next mission. I told him to give me 10 minutes to get there. Once I arrived at the office I picked up my assignment. I looked at it, and it was one of my favorites, a kill mission, but it was internal affairs. I knew what it meant, and I was the only ghost that could do it, one life for the sake of others. I called the agent to my car and drove him to Slender's woods. I knew his proxies were following me so half a mile away from the start of Slender's territory I took the guy out of my car and used my scythe to cut off his legs and arms, the blade cartorized the wounds immediately after they were cut, after a few minutes I got bored. That's about the time a hatchet flew past and straight into the guy's chest. I knew who it was.
"Nice job, Toby." I said, startling the male. "Where are the other two? Masky and Hoodie right? They were with you that week we went camping in your territory." I told him, my scythe ready to block a shot from any angle. I could feel their surprise that I found them out so quickly. Toby came forward and stopped about 6 feet away from my current position.
"How did you know?" Toby asked.
"Hoodie gave you away, this was supposed to be a covered up mission correct?" I questioned.
"Yes it was, but how did he give us away?" Toby inquired.
"His yellow hoodie in the middle of the woods? That is easier to spot than Masky's car that I've seen down the street." I told him, he looked at me like I shot him with a gun.
"What do you want to know?" Toby mumbled questioningly.
"Are you here on Slender's orders? If so, what does he want?" I asked.
"Slender wanted us to stalk you and your family because you have some potential." Toby explained, "I was there when you spoke to him, I saw you brush off his static and communicate with him." He mumbled.
"Huh, so you know about my nightmares?" I asked him, he nodded. "So you know they are taking a physical toll?" I pressed.
"Yes, I have seen some of the scars you've gotten from the dreams, but it might be something related to us and Slender, but we can't be sure." Toby finally spoke. It looked like his tourettes might kick in again.
"So Slender needs a forever partner for you right, Toby?" I asked the now ticing male.
"Yes, that's wh-what Slender said, he al-also said that it might be y-you..." Toby told me, while trying to suppress the tics to form a sentence.
"I'll accept his offer, but not right now, tell him to give me a few weeks to get everything ready." I told him, while making sure Masky and Hoodie heard me as well. Toby nodded and I felt Hoodie near and took his camera with him. I moved my scythe to let him pass but where I'm still able to block a shot from Masky.
"Also, thanks for the assist." I said walking out of the woods, leaving them stunned.
I got in the car and put the scythe away. I saw both Masky and Toby exit the woods and get in their car. I pulled back on the main road with them on my tail, but far enough to not look suspicious. I have to head back to the office to complete the mission and clear everything the guy did, and to drop my two week notice to the boss, telling him I won't be able to work here any more, because the information leaked was my file the boss had. That file was classified, and had not been cleared for release, it was a breach of contract on the guy's part. I pulled into the staff parking lot and saw the proxies pull in as well, I motioned for them to stay in the car, and to not leave the site. I walked in and went straight to the boss's office to tell him the mission was complete, and requested the file, and two weeks' notice. Boss knew why I wanted to quit, and allowed it. I just left the office, as I didn't work there. I was always on the road. I got back to my car and pulled out. I went to the training area in the woods behind the house. I needed to blow off steam. I knew they would watch me practice, so I started dancing with the scythe, making sure I hit the targets with pinpoint accuracy in every hit. I think it scared them a bit. Once my dance of death ended I went back to the house and made sure the scythe was hidden. I saw Em waiting on the steps for me to return.
"Em, what are you doing out here? It's going to rain soon." I told her, ushering her into the house. I saw everyone but Emily, Matthew and myself tied up in ropes. "Matthew Capeland, what is going on here?" I questioned the boy.
"I'm sorry nana, I wanted to watch tv but they were running around like mad people, always yelling." Matt spoke softly. I nodded and went to untie the others but decided against it.
"This is your punishment, also good job with the knot Matt." I told the group that was tied up. I went up to my room and Toby was there.
"Look, you left your window open, and I know y-you would want some type of an-answers to your injuries." Toby quickly explained.
"Let me guess, camera and night watch?" I asked, he just nodded. "Good luck, there's a storm coming in, also if I die under your watch I will scar you, I know you won't feel it but it will be there." I told him. I saw him flinch. I started changing, not caring he was there.
"Uhm, do you need me to turn around?" Toby asked, somewhat flustered.
"No, you're fine, I have no boundaries anyways." I told him, he looked at me like I was crazy. Once I finished I looked around the room and something was missing. "Toby, did you take something from my nightstand?" I asked.
"If you mean the knife, then yes, I took away something that could have caused you harm during your sleep." Toby answered. I nodded and laid down. "Night Toby." I said, passing out.
Toby's Pov.
Once she was fully asleep I walked over to her and tucked her in. I watched her for hours and the storm fully rolled in and started pouring bullets. I made sure the window was closed, but that didn't stop the lightning from finding her. She didn't react to the lightning and when it stopped I went to check her pulse, it was gone. I felt something hit my back.
"Really, I knew you said you would but really?" I asked her.
"Yea, I'm not sorry, I knew it was the only way to get my powers though." She explained. I nodded and left through the window. She followed me out and grew wings, ears and a tail.
"What is your name anyways?" I asked.
"You can call me Dreamon for the time being. I need to get my scythe." She told me.
"Do you want to see slender now?" I asked.
"Might as well, I'm willing to be your forever partner Toby." She told me.
"Thank you, Dreamon." I thanked her. I followed her to her car, and hid her wings to make room for the both of us to sit comfortably. I saw Masky pull away from down the street, I nodded for her to follow him to our parking lot in our territory.
