Chapter 13

Everyone was enjoying the party. Maggie and Gavin took Phoenix outside to play and ended up sitting out on the beach chairs. Talking. Robbie was talking to everyone he didn't even notice that Maggie was gone.

(The next day at school) Maggie's pov

I drove to school by myself because I got up early to take Phoenix out and go for a run by my self. I left at 5:30 and left Phoenix in the cage in my room. I changed in to a light pink tank top and dark blue running shorts. I ran a mile and a half to the Starbucks got a coffee and sat in a booth. I sipped on my coffee and opened up Instagram. I wasn't paying attention and someone sat down in front of me. "Can I sit?" The voice said. I looked up and saw Gavin in a cut off t-shirt and basketball shorts. "Uhh yeah of course" I said.

"So what's up why are you up so early?" Gavin asked. "Oh I disided I would go for a run before school so I wouldn't have to deal with Robbie and Haley I parked my car a mile a half away" I replied "oh ok I do this run every morning from my house on the other side of town" "really that's over two miles!" I say surprised. "Yeah if you like to run in the morning you should join me" he offered. "Yeah I would love too I can drive to your house I the morning and we can ride to school with each other after our run......wait I have to shower after my run so I don't smell at school" I said. "Oh don't worry about that just bring your stuff to my house in the morning in your car and we have a guess room so you can shower in the guess bathroom too, would that work?" "That would be great thank you so much" I say "hey do you want to run to my car with me and ill give you you a ride home and then to school" I say looking at my phone. It's 6:32. "Yeah let's go " Gavin says.

We put our garbage in the garbage and walk out. "Let's go" I say and take off with him close behind.

After a little bit we reach my car out. I drove him to his house and dropped him off "hey I'll be back a 7:20ok?" I asked "yeah sounds good i gotta shower " he said sniffing his arm pit "haha yeah you do stink" " you do too haha" I cringed my nose up and made a face at him. I drove off to my house.

I got to the house at 6:45. Ran up stairs Robbie was still asleep he had exams this week so he didn't have to go to school till noon. I hopped in the shower, got dressed in

Blow dried my hair, I curled it slightly, let Phoenix outside one more time put him back in his Kennel, grabbed my bag and walked out to my car. Blasted Last Resort by Papa Roach. It's 7:16 I drive to Gavin's house to pick him up. I honked my horn he came out and got in the car. " I love this song" he said. It was Check Yes Juliet by We The Kings. "Wow your taste in music is awesome have you ever heard the song Sophomore Slump Or Comeback Of The Year by Fall Out Boy ?" "No, I haven't can you play it?" I asked. "Yeah" he said. He took the aux cord and plugged it in.

"I love this song " I said to Gavin as we pulled into the school. We talked on the car ride over and I found out that he's in my grade and is in 6 out of 7 classes. Robbie and I don't have any classes together. We walked up to the school together laughing at a stupid joke. It was only 7:56, we still had half and hour till first bell. We talked and talked about random stuff till the bell rang. "Hey want to walk to class with me?" Gavin asked. I looked around for Lola or Desire, they were no where to be seen. " Sure why not"

We walked to Science class and sat down in two open seats together. The bell rang and class began. Same thing happened in algebra , history, and English. Then lunch came finally. I ran into Lola and Desire, Robbie was supposed to be hear soon.

Lola, Des, Gavin, and I sat down at a table Lola and des had their lunch already. I wasn't hungry. " Hey why don't you go get your lunches we'll save your spots" Des said " I'm not hungry but I'll go get a drink" I said " nah I'll grab it I'm going to get one too" Gavin said " I'll just come with you, you don't know what I like" " no you sit I'll get you a drink" " ok it better be good though" I said as he walked away. "What was that all about?" Lola asked me. " I don't know, what do you mean?" " I mean that he likes you can't you see that!" Lola replied fast. " No he doesn't we're just friends" " ok you say that " Lola said " I'm dating Robbie and we're happy " " Ok"

Gavin came back with two drinks and green monster and a purple one. " I know what one you like" he said setting down the purple on info to of me. " Just kidding" he said and he took it back and put the green on down for me. " Haha nice joke and how did you know I like the green ones?" I asked " because you had mentioned that you do" Gavin said " oh thanks" I said. Lola gave me a look I gave her one back. The bell rang that signaled that lunch was over. I walked to my locker and hot my stuff for class and turned the corner and saw Robbie making out with some girl. I pulled out my phone and took a picture as the tears were streaming down my face. I took the picture and ran off to cry.

I found some locker that no one was around and sat down with my back against a locker pulled my knees to my chest and cried. I stat there my entire study hall. Gavin wasn't in my study hall and Lola and Des left for a chorus trip after lunch. I was all alone.

The bell rang after study hall the halls flooded with students I just sat by the locker with my head in my lap. " Hey are you alright " Gavin asked running up up to me dropping his books by my side. I didn't say anything I dint even lift my head. He put his arm around my shoulder to comfort me.

I pulled out my phone and handed it to him he unlocked it. He knew my code. The picture was on the screen already. " Oh Mag I'm so sorry, guys are complete assholes to beautiful girls that don't deserve to be treated that way" he said. He got up extended his hand to me to help me up. I looked up and took his hand. I pulled him into a hug, I don't know why I just really need a hug. He hugged me back, I had my head buried in his chest and he had his on my shoulder. We stayed in the hug until the bell rang signally that we were late for class. "Hey do you want to go to class" he said. " Not really" I said into his chest. " Ok then let's get out of here" Gavin said. I pulled out of the hug and grabbed my stuff. "Why were you even over here?" I asked him. "Uh this is my locker" he gestured to the locker I was sitting in front of "oh ok "

He put his stuff in his locker and we walked to my locker. I grabbed my bag and and keys. We walked to the office and signed out. We said that we had appointments we had to go to.
