Percy Jackson was running through the streets of New York, riptide nonexistent in his pocket, an empty feeling filling him. He fell to his knees. He had no place to turn to, he was for the first time in his life, completely and utterly alone. Percy let his tears fall to the ground in the hundred, getting to his knees. He felt all hope leave him, his once bright sea green eyes became dull.

And up on mount Olympus in sky Zeus watched with a satisfied smirk because he had done it, he had broken Percy Jackson.

Now you may wonder why the hero of so many stories is in this state but to tell you that we must go to the beginning of his demise.
When a paranoid king decided Percy Jackson was too powerful to stay.

~Zeus POV~
Zeus sat a top his thrown brow creased in deep thought.  He watched the last battle against Gaia from a shimmering Iris message. They had won the war a few days before and the award ceremony had already taken place. The two camps were merged into camp Olympus.

Zeus replayed it, Percy had lifted his sword harnessing the moisture in the air and creating a hurricane. He was lifted into the air and with a mighty leap he cracked the ground an earthquake shaking the camp. Monsters ran free destroying parts of the camp every camper fought bravely ducking and slashing. The other seven were aiding and fighting in a blur.

Gaia held to twin swords sculpted of clay a snarl on her face she was the size of the camp itself looming over it. Percy lunged at Gaia the storm moving with him, the earthquake making her loose her balance. He took the chance to stab her in the side part of her body crumbling and seeping back into the earth. The battle was long and skilled by the end most of the monsters had been dispatched of and the rest of the camp looked on in awe. Percy was tiring out, his storm slowed and the rumble of the earth was quiet. He was sweating and his swings became weaker.

"Foolish demigod, you thought you could beat me, you will die!" Gaia yelled her injuries healing her form growing even larger.
"No," Percy screamed,  with a roar he summoned an enormous hurricane that blew Gaia to the ground.
"You," an earthquake trapped her under rubble her blades clattered to the ground.
"Die" Percy Jacksons eyes glowed a vibrant green as he stabbed riptide into the heart Gaia.
The primordial of earth crumbled into rock with a final scream her body sinking into the dirt below. Cheers erupted all around and Percy got picked up on the backs of the campers an exhausted smile on his face.

Zeus paused the Iris tape stroking his grown beard. Perseus had the strength to defeat a primordial. Zeus let his mind register, the son of Poseidon had become powerful, too powerful. It made him uneasy, his throne would always be in danger while his nephew lived. Zeus waited for a moment completely still scouring his paranoid brain for a solution.
That's when Zeus thought of it, his brilliant plan. One that would turn everyone against the hero, he would execute it perfectly. Zeus smiled widely a sinister underflow in his eyes, he was going to break Perseus Jackson.

~A few weeks after Zeus made his plan~

It was working just Zeus had wanted, he had turned everyone Perseus thought of as a friend or family into his enemy. Some were easier, others harder to turn. He did it in different ways for each, that Nico boy, he made him dream about the day his sister died then manipulated the dream to make it seem Perseus meant to kill his sister to save himself, after showing it to him night after night he started believing it. Yelled like crazy at Perseus after about a week, it was quite entertaining.

Then there was his camp friends, he framed him to make it look as if he stole their things ruined their most treasured items, it was great fun for Zeus himself. After every another person left him his eyes lost its color its fullness. It made Zeus joyous.

And of course there was Chiron who strangely felt attached to Perseus, the oracle girl, and of course the goat boy. They were all extremely hard but Zeus was a man of many talents, he got the girl to turn by making it seem he was trying to assault her, he made the goat guy's girlfriends tree burn down and made her blame it on Perseus, then did some stuff in his dreams. Chiron eventually got around when he learned his other centaur friends had died due to an earthquake caused by Perseus.
