Meet

The sidewalks are extremely busy this time of day. Which is perfect, absolutely perfect because these busy streets are about to make me late for the most important meeting of my life.

I pull the sheet they gave me out and give it a look.

BIGGEST MEETING OF YOUR LIFE.

Fantastic. At least I'm close to the building--

"Who puts a puddle--" I irratatibly wonder out loud. I'm drying myself off, getting out of said puddle.

Great now I'm soaking wet and I'm going to be late.

Suddenly a lady with a clipboard is in my face. "Excuse me, sir. Support the Yips??" She shoves the clipboard further.

I try to wave her off and hustle to the building but she follows.

Ugh, people. She's saying something but I can't afford to pay that much attention. "Just sign here."

It seems like signing this thing is the only way I can get her out of my face so I take her pen and write on every line on her paper:

I don't see her reaction but frankly, I don't care. I have to get to this place--

Someone grabs my shoulder. Son of a yip, with these people..

I turn around and there's a family and the dad is holding a camera.

"Excuse me sir, would you mind taking a photo of us?"

I can't deal with this right now. "No!"

"Great!" The dad smiles and shoves the camera in my hands.

"That's not what I meant!"

This unreasonably happy man goes and poses with his family and tells me "it's the button on top."

I look at the top of the camera where approximately a million little triggers are placed.

"Say 'Im ruining your life!'" I hold the camera up to them.

They say very cherrily, "We're ruining your life!"

Are you actually serious right now. I snap the picture and leave.

Finally I enter the building and very impatiently press the elevator button.

As I watch the number go down I get gradually angrier.

Exiting the elevator, I run in and with a smile I say, "I'm Guy, life-long inventor, here for the biggest meeting of my life."
