Before we start, I'd like to talk about the contents of this rewrite: format, characters, alterations, and new additions. If you don't care about this, you can skip right to episode 1!

I intend to release rewritten episodes in a sort of informal schedule, just whenever the motivation is there. Should there be delays, don't worry, I haven't forgotten, I'm probably just busy. Episodes will be written in a pseudo-screenplay style, with character dialogue written with their name next to it. Each episode will have at least one illustration, at the top of the page. Maybe more, if appropriate. The story is meant for general audiences, though, I can't imagine very many young people know what Insektors is; it's before my time as well! But, that doesn't mean they can't learn about it! Both dubs are up on youtube in their entirety, so feel free to check them out before or after you read.

Several of the earlier episodes in this story will be fairly similar to their NA or UK counterparts, though I have decided to add more episodes to the show that weren't present in ANY form of it... as an extension of the story! I've also added a large handful of supporting characters to the cast, to make the world of the show feel larger.

The most notable thing I should mention is character names and location names. In the UK dub, pretty much every character name, term, and location was changed, for whatever reason. I'll go over locations and major terms present in the show very quickly. On Planet Karbon (UK: Planet Krud) The Verigreens (NA/FR: Joyces) live in the Flowered City (UK), which is part of a larger state, 'Joyceland' (NA). The Kruds (NA: Yuks) live in Krud City (UK), though there are other, lesser known territories that fall under the 'Yukdom' (NA) umbrella--like the canyons just in front of the Ameni Desert (UK). The Kruds' main goal is to collect flowerwood for their Hypotherm (NA: Hotsy-Totsy) machine, which provides heating and power to the kingdom. It also powers the Krud-O-Pod (NA: Dark Box), which the Kruds use to clean pollen off themselves. As for characters... I think I'll list them separately since it's a lot to take in:

Fulgor (UK: Flynn)- The main character. A fire ant(?). He likes to act like a cool action hero, but is plagued by confusion over his own identity; he has no idea where he came from or what he's meant to be. He's 16 years old. Though I'm more inclined to use the name 'Fulgor' for him since it's more distinctive, you could really read him with either his UK or NA voice and it'd work well.

Aelia (NA)- One of the two deuteragonists. A mission blue butterfly. Fulgor's adoptive older sister. She is very responsible and more level-headed than her brother, but they often fight as most siblings do, and Aelia can lose her temper very easily whenever this happens. She is very interested in science, dabbling in chemistry and botany. Alex (UK) is a nickname Fulgor gave her, which a few other characters also use. 18 yrs old, UK characterization and voice.

The Great Pyro (UK: Godfrey)- usually shortened to just 'Pyro'. An imperial moth. Aelia and Fulgor's dad (adoptive, in Fulgor's case). The unofficial leader of the Flowered City, an expert magician and alchemist. He's one of the oldest characters in the cast, at 60 yrs old, though he's still pretty energetic! UK voice.

Bentley (NA: Daltonio)- Pyro's assistant. According to one of the show's French DVDs, he's a bumblebee? I thought he was a green bottle fly at first tbh, though there is a genus of sweat bee (Agapostemon) that is bright green and yellow, and I think he could be that. UK voice and characterization, 34 y/o. (UK and NA/FR have this huge age discrepancy where Daltonio was implied to be roughly the same age as the protags, while Bentley is implied to be much older than them in the UK dub since he calls them 'kids'. I'm honestly not a huge fan of the NA version of him-- I think he works better in the UK dub tbh)

Spotty (UK: Elmo)- Fulgor's little firefly friend. Speaks by beeping, which only the Verigreens can understand. He acts as a 'voice' of reason to Fulgor, though his words can't be understood by the audience. 10 y/o (he might age differently since he's kind of like the Amorites, which are treated as a different species to the Kruds and Verigreens. I'm unsure, so he's kinda just a little guy lol).
