Y/N'S POV
The reason why I joined the soccer team is my crush and my stupid feelings for her despite knowing that it was an impossible love. Why? Because my crush was none other than the hottest girl in the whole school... Minatozaki Sana. She wasn't just the hottest, but also the funniest and nicest person I have ever seen. Despite being super popular and wished by almost every student, she stayed humble and down to earth. And that's probably what I like the most about her, she's just the perfect human being in my opinion.
-Mister: Y/N! What the hell are you doing!? You have to run, not walk! - yelled from the bench I as I ran as fast as possible. Damn it, soccer was not my thing but still I had to do my best at it.
-Y/N: I'm sorry! I'll try harder, Mister! - I apologised.
-Mister: You better do, soon we'll have a match against the school's male team, and I don't want you to be embarassing. This team has potential to be the most important club in the school, let's prove them! - he cheered us up.
-Jihyo: Y/N-ah, don't worry - said running next to me - We will kick their asses and we'll get to participate in the tournament - smiled afterwards.
-Y/N: I hope so - I sighed - As long as we have you and Mina in our team, the victory will be ours - I smiled - You are the team's stars after all...
-Jihyo: You are an important player too, you just need to trust yourself and do your best when we play! - she patted my back - You can do it, Y/N!
-Y/N: Thank you - smiled.
Jihyo was always like that, in a way... She's very similar to Sana. She knows she is one of our best players, but since she's the captain she still helps and encourages the rest to do their best. The only thing I didn't like about playing soccer, was playing soccer. My coach, my teammates and the cheerleaders... Everything was fantastic! But my lazy ass could'nt deal with that many sport.
-Sana: Okay everyone, it's time for a break - she announced from the bench - Do you want some water? - she offered some bottles to the team.
-Y/N: Thank you - I smiled and took one of them.
Yup, the reason why I joined the soccer team was because Sana is the team's manager. She attends every training session and also every match. Considering how much the players get to see her, I had no option but to join the team as well. However, she never seemed to pay attention to me, it's more like I'm just another player, nothing special. If I had the skills that Mina and Jihyo had, maybe she would have payed some attention to me and I would have gotten the chance to confess my feelings for her.
-Jihyo: Y/N-ah - she smiled at me again - I was thinking... After we win the match against the boys next weekend, we are going to hold a party. Would you like to come with me? It's going to be super fun, and of course it'll be something innocent. We want to participate in the tournament in the healthiest way possible.
-Y/N: We didn't even win yet - I laughed - How can you organise a party about something that hasn't happened yet'
-Jihyo: I trust the team and our skills, plus boys are going to swallow dust trying to take the ball from me - she said proudly - Are you in? Tell me you are, c'mon! - she pouted.
-Y/N: Hmm, who's coming?
-Jihyo: I think almost the whole team is coming, also the coach... And, should we invite Sana?
-Y/N: We definitely should! - I almost shouted.
-Jihyo: Cool, then that's on you - she smiled - I have to help cleaning up everything we used in today's training, so you are in charge of inviting her.
-Y/N: W-What?!
I took a moment to realise what just happened, I needed to relax myself before dearing to speak to her. Please, I was known as someone with social skills... Why the hell was it so damn hard for me to communicate with Sana? Plus, I knew that she was super sweet and nice! What was I fearing?! I walked towards her when I gathered some courage and after swallowing a few times, I decided to open my mouth and mess everything up.
-Y/N: You, me, partying together - I posed against the bench - What do you think?
-Sana: Are you talking to me? - she said surprised.
-Y/N: Yes? - I said kinda embarrased.
-Sana: I'm not into partying, I'm sorry but-
-Y/N: A-Ah, I didn't explain myself properly - I laughed nervous - Once the match against the boys is over, we are going to celebrate our participation in the tournament throughout a party with the rest of the team. Jihyo told me to invite you, I didn't want to do it.
-Sana: Uhm-
-Y/N: I mean, it's not that I don't want you to come over, It's just that uhm... I'm horrible at this - I sigh - Do you want to come to the party?
-Sana: You didn't win yet - she smiled.
-Y/N: I know, I told the exact same thing to the captain but she's just super sure that we'll do - I srughed my shoulders - Anyway, if you want to come, we'll be super happy to see you there - I smiled.
I walked away regretting my capacity to speak because I messed up everything and made Sana think that I'm just a weirdo speaking in alien language. During the rest of the week, I didn't dare to speak to her or even look at her, I couldn't after how ridiculous I behaved. So in short, I didn't interact with her again until the match day. The school was filled with multiple students cheering for either the male team or us, and not to be a dragger, but most of them were cheering for us. Of course, it was all thanks to Mina and Jihyo and their gorgeous figures walking into the field. Maybe they were right and the victory was ours...
We started the match quite tied with the other team, they had a good level and also an incredible cheerleading team cheering them constantly. However, with Jihyo as a midfielder starting all type of possible attacks, they had very low chances of stopping us. I ran as fast as I could as I promised the coach, and when Mina got to pass me the ball I got to score a goal. I couldn't believe it myself, it was the first one goal ever since I joined the team.
-Jihyo: You did it Y/N! - She jumped on my back - See? You have to trust yourself and your hard work, it was worth!
-Y/N: I guess - I smiled - Thank you for believing in me.
The match finished 3-0 in our favor, Jihyo and Mina each scored after I did and that's how we got to eliminate the male team and participate in the tournament in their place. After all the congratulations we received from everyone who came to cheer for our team, we headed to the school's gym since the party was going to be held in there. Until that point, everything was good and marvellous, the problem came when...
-Jihyo: Y/N, do you want to dance with me?
-Sana: Y/N, do you want to dance with me?
Ahem... Was that trully happening? Or was I just daydreaming?
