Day #5 of Cruise
It was the night of one of the formal wear dinners, Lexie was the last to come down the stairs.
"Oh Alexandria you look beautiful." Vivian said
"Thanks granny." She said as everyone nodded in agreement.
"The powdered blue suits you." Eugenie said as they all headed into the dining after taking photos.
They all sat down at their table they had been using the last 5 days.
"We have missed you Lexie, you have been cooped up in your room." Lindsey said
"I know.." she said with a smile.
During the dinner, Kelly Jo happened to look down the table as Serena grabbed her glass water.
"Serena? Is that a engagement ring?" Kelly Jo said
"Yes it is! Bucky proposed last night." Serena said with excitement.
"Winnie you didn't say nothing this morning." Kelly Jo said
"We didn't want to make a big deal of it until we got back home." Bucky said
"Well now we can cause everyone knows. He did it last night at sunset it was so romantic!" Serena squealed.
Lexie slammed her napkin down, and left dinner. Bucky looked down as he Serena continued her excitment and answering questions. A little bit after dinner, Bucky found Lexie sitting alone by the pool wiping tears.
"Lexie?" He said as he sat down.
"Leave me alone." She said
"You were the reason why I wanted to wait till we got home before announcing." He said
She stood up, and picked up her heels. "Lexie please I said I was sorry it just wasn't going to worm out. I did what was best." He said as he went to follow her.
"Just stay away from me" she said as she walked off.
"Damn it." He whispered to himself before the rest of the family joined him at the pool.
