For as long as I can remember I have been moving around, I never seem to stay in the same place for longer than a few weeks. Right now, I find myself here in Los Mochis, a city in the district of Sinaloa, Mexico. I bought a crappy apartment with the little money I had and was now on my way to the local fight club. I walk through the doors and make my way to the reception. Behind the desk a bald man sits smoking a cigarette.

"How can I help you?"

"I am interested in mixed martial arts training."

"MMA huh. Sorry, but we don't take in newbies."

"I am not new; I have fought before."

The man looked at me suspiciously and I tried my best to hold his gaze. I am not lying; I have fought before. Living in the streets for a while teaches you that. I never knew my parents and had no one to take care of me. No house to live in and no food to eat. I learned from a young age how to steal and protect myself. For the past few months, I even ran a small drug business, until I earned enough money to buy an apartment. The drug industry is a dangerous business and I often had to fight people off my territory. So, I know how to throw a punch or kick some balls.

"We shall see if you have any talent then. Come back tomorrow, then you will have your first training session with the others. Fail and I will send you out the door."

"I promise I won't disappoint you."

I walk back out onto the streets and make my way back to the apartment. Since I quit my drug business, I had to come up with another way to earn money, knowing myself and my skill set I thought MMA fights could prove to be easy money. The elevator is broken in the apartment complex, so I take the stairs to the fifth floor. I stop in front of the door with number 14 on it and put my key in the lock and I turn it and the door opens. It is mostly empty inside. Just necessities, such as a kitchen, bathroom, and mattress. I barely have any money left so I hope I can do some MMA fights soon. I go into the kitchen and rummage through the cabinets, there is not a lot of food, so I just take a packet of instant noodles. I turn on the kettle and wait for the water to boil. While it is boiling, I put my noodles in a bowl and add the packets of oil and spices to it. The kettle pings and I take it to pour the water into my bowl. I take the noodles and sit down on my mattress in front of the small television. After I finished eating, I did a small workout in order to prepare for tomorrow. Once I was done, I decided to go to bed for an early night. I had to prove myself tomorrow, so I had to be well rested and in shape. It didn't take long for me to fall asleep and soon it was morning again.
