I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock. 6:45. Oh crap I was late. I jumped out of my bed and rushed to my closet picking out my outfit for today. I decided to wear something unique. I chose my blue hoodie instead of my black one and pulled it on quickly along with some black skinny jeans. I pulled my waist length black hair into a pony tail, and lastly, I pulled on some dark purple converse. I did my makeup quickly and rushed downstairs. I grabbed a granola bar quickly along with my purse and called out a quick goodbye to my mum before rushing out the door and to my car. I jumped in quickly and shut the door, turning on the car quickly and began to drive towards school. "Thank God." I breathed out relieved that I was on time. I turned on some music. I was glad to hear "Thnks Fr Th Mmrs" by Fall Out Boy. I drummed my fingers on the steering wheel to the song. Wen I finally got to school, I parked in a spot decently close to the building and hopped out of my car taking my book bag and some separate books with me. I walked into school taking my time. I walked along the hall to my locker and shoved the books I didn't need into it while keeping all the others.
"Hey Jamie," one of my friends named Jackie said.
"Hey," I responded, "you coming to band practice tonight?" I asked.
"Yeah I'll see you then." Jackie responded.
"Alright." I responded and walked to my homeroom class. I walked in quickly and took my seat next to the window.
"Alright class," Mrs. Claudia boomed, "today we will be discussing the periodic table and how to categorize the elements." she called out. I took out my binder prepared to take notes for the lesson. Mrs. Claudia droned on and on about the lesson, and I took my notes word for word. You see, although Mrs. Claudia was very boring, she was scary when you got her angry, so I always took all the notes possible to keep her happy.
"Ok class, the homework for today is-" the bell rang at the perfect time and I packed my stuff and headed out of the room. The school day pretty much went as usual, I went to all my classes, paid attention, and did my work. finally it was lunch time and I was starving so I headed towards the cafeteria. I walked into the cafeteria and made my way to the line to grab some food. When I finally got it, I went and sat with my Friends at the table. My little group consisted of about four people, Scarlet, Bea, Jackie, and I.
"Did you hear the news?" Bea asked me.
"No, what news?"
"We got a gig!" Sandy exclaimed happily.
"No way!" I responded absolutely surprised.
"Yes way!" They all exclaimed at once. Just to filly out in, the girls and I had a band called Falling Stars and we had been working hard on it for a while. To get a gig was a big deal for us.
"I can't believe it!" I exclaimed, "Where is the gig?"
"Well... We are going to play at the school dance." I frowned a bit but lightened up, this was our first gig after all.
"Alright when is it?"
"Tomorrow." they all responded. Well crap, I thought to myself.
"Alright girls, we have a lot of work to do tonight."
