(21) Lexie's Secret is Revealed

3 years later,

Micah and Kelly Jo had been working on renovating the inside of their home. They finally gotten around to Lexie's bedroom they had been cleaning it out. 

Micah was over at the fireplace that never worked, "Kelly Jo, why would Lexie have a box shoved in here." He said as he pulled it out. 

"I don't know." She said

Micah looked at the top, in felt letters he saw "The Summer That Never Was" and then read it outloud.

"What does that mean?" He said 

"In lamens terms the lost summer or the forgotten summer." She said as they sat it on the bed. 

She opened it up, she gasped which caught Micah's attention, "What is it?" He said 

They saw all the photos of Lexie and Bucky's summer, then buried at the bottom was her ultrasounds,pee sticks and abortion paperwork. 

"Micah..oh my god! We need to talk to James and Winnie. They took part of the summer off that year and knew about Bucky and Lexie being close." Kelly Jo said 

"How did she get a abortion? She was 16 and how did she pay in cash?" Micah said as he read the paperwork. 

They gathered it all up, and invited James and Winnie over for dinner. After dinner they presented them with the box. 

"Did you all know they were this close?" Micah said 

They thumbed through the photos, "No.." Winnie said 

"Damn it Buchanan." James said 

"There's more.." Kelly Jo said 

She laid the other stuff out, and they saw the pregnancy evidence. 

"How?" James said 

"I don't know.." Micah said 

James' blood began to boil, "We have contacted Lexie we got her a plane ticket to fly in next weekend since its her off weekend. You all need to let Buchanan know that we need to have a chat." Micah said 

"We will." James said 

A few days later Bucky was paged to his dad's office, he had just started his 3rd  year of medical school and they spend alot of the time at the hospital or the clinic.

"Dad you paged me.." he said 

"Yeah, just wanted to let you know that this Saturday we want you to come over. Micah and Kelly Jo have already informed Lexie she'll be in town too. Micah wants to talk to you both." James said 

Bucky gulped, "Lexie? D-did he say why?" He said 

"Lets just say you have alot to answer for." James said 

Bucky left the office, he ran to the bathroom and puked. After he watched a surgery he went into a on call room,he tried to call the number he still had of Lexie's 

"We are sorry the number you are trying to reach is no longer in service." 

"Damn it Lexie what did you do?" He whispered 

When he got home, Serena was nursing their 6 month old daughter, while their 4 year old son was playing with his cars. 

"Hey honey, your plate is in the microwave." Serena said 

"I can't eat.." he said as he went to their bedroom.

He took a hot shower, and laid down with his airpods in he turned on a playlist called "Summer" the first song that popped up was "Lips of Angel." by Hinder. He tossed and turned all night as he couldn't sleep. 

On his way to the hospital the next morning he played his playlist again, and got coffee. James and Micah saw him come in with his airpods in and hood up. 

"Did you tell him anything?" Micah said 

"No, I want him to sweat it out." James said 

"Put his group with me today." Micah said as he went to get ready for rounds. 

"Yes sir." James said with a smirk. 

When Bucky wasn't working he was listening to music. Some of the songs, "When Love&Hate Collide" by Def Leppard, "What It Takes" by Aerosmith, "Can't Forget You" My Darkest Days.
